Uniswap, one of the largest decentralized exchanges, has added Solana to its web application. This means that users can now connect a Solana wallet and trade Solana-based tokens directly on Uniswap, alongside Ethereum and over 13 other networks.
The move, announced in a recent blog post, marks a major milestone in Uniswap’s goal to become a single point of access to decentralized finance (DeFi). Until now, users had to switch between apps to trade Solana tokens. With the new integration, everything can happen in one place.

Why Solana is important
Solana is one of the fastest growing blockchains, with over $11.4 billion in total value locked across its DeFi platforms. But until recently, it existed in a separate ecosystem from Ethereum. This made things more difficult for users. They needed different wallets, interfaces and tools to manage their assets.
By adding Solana support, Uniswap helps reduce this friction. Users can now exchange tokens between the two ecosystems in fewer steps, creating a smoother experience for traders and newcomers.

The integration runs on the Ultra API of Jupiter, a leading liquidity aggregator for Solana. This connection allows Uniswap users to access over 1 million Solana tokens directly through the app.
