Vietnam finished the very first AI ethical training program, jointly organized by the United States Embassy in Hanoi and Abaii Academy of Blockchain and IA innovation. The program took place at the American Center Hanoi on May 12 to 13 and the American Center Ho Chi Minh City from May 15 to 16, 2025.
This pioneering program marks a critical step in the Vietnam course towards ethical technological development, centered on man and inclusive. Artificial intelligence increasingly shaping daily life, the program aimed to provide participants with fundamental and advanced knowledge of AI ethics, promoting a more responsible approach to digital transformation.
Abaii Academy and the American Embassy organized the first training program on AI ethics in Vietnam
The program brought together a diverse group of participants, including government representatives, technology professionals, university professors and researchers. Structured in two sessions, basic and advanced, the program has been adapted to accommodate different levels of previous knowledge and expertise. Participants explored key subjects such as ethical implications for the deployment of AI, international best practices, regulatory executives and responsible governance of AI. All the participants who finished the program received an official completion certificate.
Dr. Le Linh Luong, deputy director of Abaii Academy, shared: “This initiative is more than a simple training program – is a strategic development towards the construction of a digital ethical company. By equipping professionals with tools to think critically and act responsible for the AI era, we help Vietnam to lay a solid base for sustainable technological growth. ”
Ms. Elenita Tapawan, regional director of American spaces, the United States Embassy in Hanoi, stressed: “The program allowed participants not only technical knowledge, but with the ethical frameworks necessary to make fair, transparent and centered decisions.
Mr. Jeremy Luna, head of the American consulate press, also said that the AI transformed all sectors of the company. “While we exploit the power of Al, we must also make sure that it is developed and deployed in a responsible manner,” said Jeremy.

The program presented a distinguished range of teachers and advisers, in particular: Mr. DAO TRUNG Thanh, Deputy Director and President of the Academic Council of Abaii; Member of the Abaii Digital Asset and IA Ethics Council council; Ms. Tran Vu Ha Minh, advisor responsible for the AI at FPT; Founder of Humanitarian-Ai Asia; Member of the Abaii Digital Asset and IA Ethics Council council; Mr. Nguyen Tran Minh Quan, Legal Director of Vietnam Blockchain Association; Mr. Jeffery Recker, CEO of Babl AI.
In addition to the sessions led by experts, the program has created a dynamic environment for dialogue and collaboration between the transversal sector. Participants engaged in significant discussions, shared real experiences and explored the ethical dilemmas faced in their respective fields.
The program also served as a platform to start building a national community of practice dedicated to AI ethics in Vietnam. It represents a critical step in Vietnam’s efforts to shape an ethical, inclusive and sustainable digital future.
