- Investors expect Trump administration to stimulate cryptographic growth through favorable regulations and key appointments.
- The volatility of the market persists in the middle of the uncertainty of the elections, but the regulatory clarity efforts indicate optimism for the crypto.
Institutional investors and wealth managers show growing optimism on the future of digital assets under the administration of President Donald Trump.
A recent study by Nickel Digital Asset Management, a London-based hedge fund, reveals that professionals managing approximately $ 1.1 billion of dollars in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Singapore, Brazil and the United Arab Emirates anticipate a more favorable regulatory environment.
Published on March 5, the results reflect strong confidence that Trump leadership will stimulate the growth of the cryptographic sector thanks to strategic policy changes and key appointments.
Survey results
The investigation underlined,
“88% expect more favorable regulations in the sector and 92% believe that the administration of President Trump will have a positive effect on the regulatory landscape of digital assets.”
In the midst of such optimism, the feeling of investors towards Trump’s policies remains divided, especially since its pricing plans have previously triggered a net slowdown in the cryptography market, leading to the most steep down of Bitcoin (BTC) for months.
However, market confidence rebounded following its announcement of a strategic reserve of American crypto, repelling digital assets in a positive territory.
From the last CoinmarketCap update, the global market capitalization of cryptography climbed 3.01 billions of dollars, reflecting a daily increase of 2.12%.
That said, industry professionals also consider leadership appointments as a crucial factor to shape the trajectory of the sector.
According to research from Nickel Digital, more than 80% of institutional investors believe that the appointment of David Sacks as a dedicated cryptography will considerably influence industry growth.
These signals have strengthened expectations of regulatory clarity and institutional adoption.
Emphasizing the role of the support of the American government, the researchers also noted that,
“Institutional investors and wealth managers recognizing the role that an American government of support plays in the world of digital assets – almost all (95%) say that the American government is positive is important for the development of the sector with 27% saying that it is very important.”
The challenges persist for cryptographic regulations
Although optimism exists on Trump’s impact on crypto, the uncertainty linked to the elections caused significant turbulence of the market.
Nickel digital research shows that 55% of respondents have declared increased volatility, 36% citing instability in the digital asset markets.
In addition, investment activity has slowed down, with 42% observation of delays in American investments and 41% noting similar to international caution.
Noticing on the same, Anatoly Crachilov, CEO and founding partner of Nickel Digital, said,
“The American presidential election has been billed by some as an election of cryptography and which was recognized by institutional investors and wealth managers.”
He also underlined the immediate regulatory changes and declared,
“The immediate impact should take the form of a more favorable regulation that we have already started to attend because the dry abandons the cases against Coinbase, Robinhood, Uniswap and even more.”
What could be more
Thus, while the regulatory landscape continues to evolve, as well as the next meeting of the working group of the dry crypto on March 21, a crucial step towards greater clarity has already started.
Consequently, with this regulatory progress coinciding with Trump’s pro-Crypto position, the prospects for digital assets seem more and more optimistic.
However, to what extent these policies will effectively shape the future of industry remains to be seen.
