各位,
Less than three months from the Devcon, we are moving forward at full speed to Osaka!
You will hear about the first details of the programming and even more in the coming days, and with the sale of current tickets, we thought it was time to make a more formal update!
First, the second wave of ticket sales should temporarily take place on August 6. We learned a lot and corrected a lot after the last round. We used a new open source ticket platform this year, and although the platform itself worked admirably, we have not put everything correctly on our configurations for the first production series. With a higher online allowance and an refined payment process, we hope everyone will benefit from a fluid purchasing process during wave 2.
A change has also been made this year to limit tickets to two per order rather than one. Thus, even if we expect Devcon to be complete, those who are online in time can book a space for their colleagues, friends or family.
Then, if you had a brilliant idea for a Devcon conference the day after the submissive fence, you are lucky.
Applications reopened today and will be available on Devcon.org for a week, from July 29 to August 4. This applies to manufacturers and speakers of any type (in small groups, workshops or presenters) and students. Applications for scholarships are fully closed.
For stakeholders, this second window was designed thinking about you. We are aware of the speed at which things can evolve in the Ethereum ecosystem, and we did not want to miss any recent discovery!
Finally, all Devcon applications are examined as you go. The application process is designed to be fair and in -depth. Each candidacy is examined by at least two people, before a final decision was made by the DEVCON principal planning team. We believe that it is very important to set up a system guaranteeing that no single assessor decides on the fate of a candidacy – and that takes time.
Although not all candidates are informed at the same time, everyone will receive a decision by mid -August – including those applying in the late application window (July 29 – August 4) – to guarantee that all Monde received an opinion before the final ticket program. Wave (in case participation in the wave is necessary to attend Devcon). So, if you have already submitted a conference proposal, you have nothing else to do.
TL; DR: Vague 2 should temporarily take place on August 6. The candidacy pages of speakers, manufacturers and students are online Devcon.org From July 29 to August 4. After that, they left and they will not come back!
Each day brings us closer to Osaka a little more, and we look forward to bringing together as many members of the Ethereum family. We wish you good luck for all applications and ticket office, and hope to see you there.
🦄
