dYdX (DYDX), the native token of the decentralized trading platform, has ranked among the most profitable assets on the market.
In fact, on-chain metrics, including trading fees and total value locked, remained largely unchanged according to DefiLlama data, with sentiment remaining stable.
The main growth was driven by off-chain activity. However, at press time, chart analysis revealed that the rally now faces a credible risk of a near-term pullback at a key technical level.
DYDX reaches channel resistance
DYDX’s continued rally north hit a significant hurdle as the asset reached the upper boundary of the ascending channel pattern in which it trades.
The channel consists of two parallel ascending trend lines serving as support and resistance respectively, with the price oscillating between them in an ascending range.

At press time, DYDX had reached the upper resistance line of this channel, meaning that the selling pressure that typically builds at this level could force the asset lower toward the channel’s support if it holds.
The dashboard is, however, constructive.
DYDX has overcome a key structural supply area that previously served as a major obstacle to price growth. Clearing this level adds weight to the case for a break above channel resistance, rather than a rejection of it.
A/D hits 40.8 million as MA Ribbon prints bullish crossover
Market indicators seemed to support the likelihood of a breakout higher, rather than a rejection of resistance.
The Accumulation/Distribution indicator, for example, highlighted increasing accumulation, with total volume reaching 40.8 million in DYDX at the time of writing.
Traders have been actively adding to their positions, and the increased volume behind this accumulation lends conviction to the bullish structure forming on the charts.

As of press time, the moving average ribbon has issued the clearest bullish signal yet. With the 20-day moving average sitting above the 50-, 100-, and 200-day averages in a bullish cross formation, the short-term average appeared to be ahead of the long-term one – a setup that reflected strong and growing momentum.
The gap between the 20-day moving average and longer-term averages implied that the upward move could generate significant conviction. And a sustained recovery alongside sustained accumulation would confirm that investors are actively contributing to the extension of the rally.
What are buyers in the Spot and Perpetual markets doing?
Finally, the spot and perpetual markets reflect a strong structural setup for continued upward movement in DYDX.
In fact, Spot Market data revealed that traders have accumulated $616,640 worth of DYDX over the past four days, reflecting consistent buying interest at press time.

The perpetual market also appears to reflect this trend, with traders increasing their leveraged capital to around $48.68 million in open interest. Meanwhile, IO-weighted financing data confirmed that long positions accounted for the majority of this capital.
As the spot and perpetual markets hold a bullish position and accumulation builds steadily, the conditions for DYDX to continue its extended rally may well strengthen.
Final Summary
- The moving average ribbon revealed a bullish crossover with the 20-day MA in the lead, while the A/D rose to 40.8 million.
- DYDX tested upper channel resistance as Open Interest climbed to $48.68 million on positive funding.
