Falcon Finance Launches USDf Card in Over 90 Jurisdictions for Everyday Spending

Key takeaways

  • Falcon Finance has launched the USDf Card in over 90 jurisdictions for verified users.
  • USDf turns 3 asset classes – crypto, gold and stocks into usable cash.
  • Falcon Finance will test whether a $0 annual fee generates tokenized assets in daily payments.

The Falcon Card allows users to spend USDf online and in stores with a $0 annual fee

Falcon Finance has launched a payment card aimed at transforming tokenized assets into practical purchasing power, extending its decentralized finance platform beyond lending and yield generation.

The Falcon Card allows eligible users to spend USDf online, in stores and through supported mobile wallets where available. Users can create USDf by posting approved collateral on Falcon or acquire the synthetic dollar through secondary markets before transferring it to the card.

The company said the product is available to verified users in over 90 supported jurisdictions. Access remains subject to local eligibility conditions.

Tokenized assets become usable collateral

USDf sits at the center of the Falcon system. The supersized synthetic dollar is designed to allow users to unlock dollar-denominated liquidity without selling the assets they already hold.

Supported collateral includes stablecoins, major cryptocurrencies, tokenized gold, and select tokenized stocks.

Falcon currently accepts Tether Gold, as well as several tokenized stocks issued through Ondo Finance. These include representations of Coinbase, Nvidia, Strategy and Tesla stocks as well as select xStocks products.

By accepting these assets as collateral, Falcon seeks to make tokenization more useful than simple ownership or price exposure. Users can deposit eligible assets, create USDf, and transfer this liquidity to decentralized finance applications.

Expenses and performance remain separate

Funds transferred to the card are intended for payments and do not generate any returns. Yield-seeking users can stake USDf separately to receive sUSDf, Falcon’s yield-generating product.

Falcon said the card has no annual subscription fees. The company also does not impose additional Falcon transaction fees, although exchange-related fees may apply.

This launch reflects a broader effort in the crypto industry to connect real-world tokenized assets to consumer payments. Although blockchain platforms have made it easier to own stocks, commodities, and other assets on-chain, their use in everyday transactions remains limited.

Falcon positions USDf as the bridge between these two markets. Its card transforms liquidity created through tokenized collateral into funds that can be used outside of decentralized finance, providing users with another way to access value without directly selling the underlying assets.
