Aave, the largest decentralized loan protocol, proposed reducing its exposure to the risks of governance within the Ethereum Layer-2 network, the Scroll ecosystem.
The initiative, submitted on September 11 by the Aave Chan (ACI) initiative, is involved in the middle of assembly instability in the decentralized governance model of Scroll.
The proposal describes several defensive measures to protect Aave users and liquidity pools. These include the reserve factor for all the assets listed at 90%, reduce supply ceilings to existing levels and reduce loan ceilings for all borrowing workers.
According to ACI, these steps will help contain exposure to assets based on scrolling, will strengthen the safety of protocols thanks to conservative risk parameters and ensure that Aave can respond quickly if governance disturbances increase.
ACI stressed that the implementation of the proposal will take place through the direct process to AIP, which allows faster deployment of urgent modifications.
Defillama’s data shows that Aave currently has around $ 6 million of total locked value (TVL) on Scroll, making it the chain with one of its smaller liquidity pools.

DAO problems of Scroll
The urgency of Aave’s proposal arises from internal agitation to the decentralized autonomous organization of Scroll (DAO). Scroll announced earlier in the day that he had interrupted new proposals within his DAO as part of a plan to overhaul governance.
Scroll said that the decision would experiment with governance models emphasizing efficiency, efficiency and alignment. The team also pointed out that the break aims to protect short -term stability while laying the foundations for sustainable growth.
Meanwhile, Scroll stressed that the proposals that have already been approved will occur. However, new submissions will be interrupted until the introduction of the new structure.
This decision comes after the turbulence of leadership within the DAO. Olimpio, a parchment delegate, confirmed that the example of the DAO, known as Eugene, had resigned earlier in the week.
According to Olimpio, this departure has left the community faced with uncertainty, with several proposals now in a standstill. This is in particular a cash management initiative, the training of a governance council and a test of a Timelock Dao mechanism.
