Franklin Templeton, head of the cryptocurrency and asset exchange, announced a strategic collaboration to develop digital asset initiatives targeting institutional and detail investors. The partnership will combine the capacities of tokenization of Franklin Templeton’s titles with the world trading platform of Binance and customers.
Collaboration aims to improve the efficiency of the capital market thanks to blockchain technology, focusing on improving transparency, accessibility and regulation processes. Franklin Templeton manages 1.6 billion of dollars in assets, while Binance works as the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world by exchanging the volume and the number of users.
Franklin Templeton has established himself as a pioneer in the integration of blockchain among traditional asset managers. The company was the first holder to launch a monetary market fund in Tokenized in 2021 with FOBXX, which now operates on eight blockchains without authorization. Earlier this year, Franklin Templeton introduced a Luxembourg home tokenized fund, marking the first UCITS SICAV product entirely tokenized in this jurisdiction. He does not only publish on various blockchains, the asset manager also uses nodes in order to understand how they work.
