New trends such as Tap-to-Reket applications transform the Airdrops into a main path into crypto, beyond financial inclusion, according to a Mexc survey.
The Airdrops are back under the spotlight and they have evolved. Once a tool for developing broadcasting lists or distributing free tokens, they are now one of the most powerful ways for people enter the world of cryptography, a new Crypto Exchange Mexc report reveals.
Tap-to-Bearn applications, which have gained popularity on Telegram, and mobile-oriented tools now lead to the engagement of air stands in a way that no one expected a year ago. According to the relationship shared with Crypto.News, Airdrops continues to lead as “one of the most effective tools to attract new users to the crypto ecosystem, but in 2025, their relevance has reached a new level.”

Mexc says that 35% of all new registrations are now from air campaigns. It is more than references and organic inscriptions. Some months, the number increases even more. However, despite the high number of initial records, the data also shows that 24% of users display a minimum activity after participating in Ardrop events.
Tracy Jin, Director of MEXC exploitation, in an interview with Crypto.News, which decreases air engagement is “natural, since the awards are at stake as short -term incentives.
“The figure of 24% of the report represents a segment mainly motivated by easy -to -access gains.

The investigation shows that there is more. Overvoltage does not only concern users without bank access by trying to enter the crypto. Although it is still a factor – especially in Southeast Asia and South Asia – other things take over.
“New behavioral factors such as tools focused on mobiles and gamified mechanisms are increasingly influencing engagement.”
Mexc
The survey has also revealed that the CEI region exceeds global graphics for air interest, because 67% of new users from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and neighboring countries arrive by Airmat.

The data show that the Gamified Telegram applications such as Hamster Kombat (HMSTR), Notcoin (NOT) and Yescoin have introduced millions to crypto with games with a blow that is not like traditional finance. Hamster Kombat, for example, in a moment exceeded 70 million users, while Notcoin added more than 5 million followers in just one month. It is not clear, however, how many of these users always use applications.
Tapo-to-Benal mechanics will remain
Mexc underlines that the popularity of the telegram in the region is not random as a high digital literacy and a generalized use of telegrams make it a natural adjustment. Although Telegram is covering the mini-applies in the tone blockchain, Jin Crypto.News that Tap-to-Garn Games “will probably continue to see a general adoption”.
“Although the integration of Telegram with the tonne blockchain can limit the development of transversal mini-application, it considerably strengthens the tonnes ecosystem and encourages developers to experiment and innovate in it.

And it’s not just about media. These users remain, at least more than before. The report shows that 76% of participants in Airdrop remain on the platform. Among these, 18% become regular traders and 58% are negotiated from time to time. Interestingly, the average daily volume among active users focused on air parameters exceeds $ 58,000, while some have even reached $ 31 million, according to the report.
“Ardrops are an excellent entry point. They give users a chance to explore the exchange and obtain practical commercial experience without endangering their own funds – which makes it perfect for beginners. ”
Tracy Jin
Jin has developed more, noting that for newcomers to the crypto and those who do not know the exchanges, the space “may seem complicated at the beginning”. However, once they arrived with their first tokens, they “quickly realize that everything is much simpler than expected,” she added.
Prize pools also increase. Mexc says Ardrop events have already given more than $ 13.5 million to nearly 470,000 participants on April 20.
What about other regions
Southeast Asia and South Asia are still large hot spots. The involvement rates are 51% and 32% respectively. These areas continue to cope with problems with bank access, so crypto – and especially free token gifts – offer an easier entry point, explains Mexc.
The exchange notes that the Airdrops allow users to acquire digital assets “which can later be transferred or exchanged, offering an effective and profitable solution for international transactions.”

The Airdrops even help to send funds. In places like the Philippines and Pakistan, users can claim tokens and send value home without facing expensive transfer services, although not all regions attract the same wave.
For example, Africa and Latin America – formerly considered aerial paradise – now show a relatively low participation: only 12% and 16%, depending on data. Mexc says that this refers the previous hypotheses, noting that the results dispute the idea that the strong social commitment and the interest of the crypto automatically lead to an involvement at a height of the air parameters.
