Apollo Global Management has invested a seven-digit sum in Plume, a Blockchain infrastructure provider focused on real assets (RWAS), marking another strategic decision by the giant of investment capital in digital finance.
Plume exploits a modular protocol compatible with ethereum which allows the tokenization of a wide range of real assets – financial instruments and carbon credits to collectibles. The platform is designed to bring these assets to the chain and make them usable in traditional decentralized financing activities (DEFI) such as loan, loan and trading.
Capital injection will support the deployment of the complete feather infrastructure and will help develop access to its ecosystem, which already takes care of more than 18 million cryptographic portfolios and integrates with more than 200 protocols. Although the conditions of the agreement were not disclosed, a company spokesperson confirmed that the investment was in the seven-digit range.
Apollo’s investment reflects an increase in institutional interest for alternatives compatible with blockchain. A recent study by Ripple and Boston Consulting Group projects the asset market in tokens could reach $ 18.9 billion by 2033.
For Apollo, the DEAL pen is aligned with its wider strategy to harass the blockchain to improve access to alternative assets. “Our investment in Plume underlines the attention of Apollo to technologies that widen access to institutional quality products and create more transparent and innovative customer experiences,” said Christine Moy, partner and manager of digital assets in Apollo.
She added: “While assets and private funds are moving more and more to the channel, Plume represents a new type of infrastructure focused on the utility of digital assets, investor engagement and new generation financial solutions – revolutionizing the development of a more efficient and programmable financial system.”
This last movement reaffirms Apollo’s position at the forefront of the digital transformation of Private Equity, emphasizing tokenized infrastructure and programmable asset solutions.
