What is the Next Billion Scholarship Program?
The Next Billion scholarship program is a search for stories – tangible human stories that show how Ethereum is helping communities address the challenges they face.
Whether implementing badges and digital wallets for millions of scouts around the worldcreating More effective and affordable crop insurance for smallholder farmers in KenyaOr explore the role of decentralized systems during humanitarian crises in SyriaEach fellow’s story helps us see Ethereum’s role in human society, not as an abstract technology, but as a tool to solve real-world problems and create meaningful change.
Through the six-month program, we offer project funding, mentoring, access to our network and visibility opportunities.

If you are ready to join our next cohort (Cohort #5), please apply before January 12, 2025.
Applications received after this date will be taken into account for the next cohort (cohort no. 6). Learn more about the program and our alumni here.

November 2024 – January 12, 2025: Applications are open; Continuing applications after January 12 will be considered for Cohort 6, with interviews conducted on a rolling basis.
