Audiera gains 13% with the return of the whales – can BEAT extend its rally?

Audiera (BEAT) extended its rally on July 22, gaining 13% in early trading. Its market capitalization also exceeded $810 million.

The rally could extend as futures traders maintain bullish positioning. BEAT’s 890% gain over 180 days also placed the latest move within a broader uptrend.

Do whales support the BEAT rally?

The rally coincided with increased whale activity ahead of the price surge.

The whale-retail delta rose to 0.0123, its highest value since June 25. A positive reading suggests that the whales’ positioning was stronger than that of the retailers.

However, the measurement did not prove that whales were behind BEAT’s rally. He also could not determine how long these traders intended to hold their positions.

BEAT has gained around 48% over 30 days as whale positioning remains high. This alignment supported bullish sentiment but did not establish direct causation.

Does spot selling threaten BEAT?

Selling pressure remained visible in the spot market, with some traders appearing to take profits.

CoinGlass recorded $2.55 million in sales volume and approximately $233,000 in net sales over three days. In 24 hours, the marketplace recorded $1.7 million in sales volume and nearly $170,000 in net sales.

Spot Netflow over seven days generated net sales of approximately $42,000. However, comparing absolute Netflow values over different periods could give a misleading picture.

The 12-hour window saw approximately $90,000 in net sales. These figures confirm continued selling but do not allow us to determine whether traders made profits or reduced their losses.

Therefore, BEAT still needs sustained spot demand to support its futures-driven bullish positioning.

Perpetual market activity supports bulls

Perpetual market activity has turned positive and continues to support the bulls. At the time of writing, the open interest-weighted funding rate – which measures capital in the perpetual market and assesses whether positioning is long or short – reflected this trend.

The rate reached 0.0051% in the last 24 hours, meaning that slightly more long than short positions controlled the $68.70 million in perpetual capital.

This moderate uptrend suggests that the positioning does not involve excessive exposure, limiting the risk of capitulation and leaving the most likely case as price continues on the path it is already on, which in this case is a rally.

Final summary

  • BEAT gained 13% as whale activity and bullish futures positioning supported sentiment.
  • Cash sales remained the main risk, while financing rates showed limited overheating.
