BNB Chain (BNB) announced the launch of a new L1 blockchain for agent trading. The goal would be to make transactions faster, cleaner and harder to manipulate.
Did the announcement help the price of the native token though?
BNB Chain plans faster L1 for agent trading
As part of its H2 technology roadmap, BNB Chain announced a new layer 1. With it, automated systems and trading agents can execute transactions at high speed.
The new chain is expected to sit alongside BNB Smart Chain, opBNB and Greenfield. The goal is to bring on-chain trading closer to the speed and efficiency of CEX, while still allowing for self-custody.
We plan to release it on testnet by the end of 2026, with a mainnet release in early 2027. More updates will be available soon.
A key part of the design is to remove the public memory pool, where many front-end and sandwich attacks begin. Instead, transactions would be routed directly to blocking leaders through a system called TxStream.
The chain is also expected to reserve block space for important actions such as liquidations, bridges, and Oracle updates through PriorityLane.
BNB slips after L1 news
In the hours following the announcement, BNB was trading at around $561with the hourly graph showing the pressure. The RSI had fallen to 30and the MACD was still below the signal line.

The aggregate open interest was approximately $536 millionlower than recent peak; traders don’t add much leverage. The financing was, however, positive 0.0029meaning long positions are still present, but not overheated.

The announcement did not do enough to act as a catalyst for price action.
The activity of whales makes the L1 thesis more relevant
What’s interesting is the type of market the ad lands in. CryptoQuant’s average futures order size chart shows that BNB futures activity is leaning toward large whale orders; this means that large traders are already active around the asset.

The L1 offered by BNB Chain is clearly not designed only for ordinary slow-moving transactions. Faster pre-confirmation, no public memory, and improved execution are more useful in markets where large orders and speed-sensitive trades play a greater role.
This makes this metric worth monitoring.
Final Summary
- BNB Chain announced a new L1 trading agent.
- The reception makes it clear that it is seen as a long-term business infrastructure bet.
