Asset manager Bitwise has launched a Canton ETP (Exchange-traded product) that provides exposure to the Canton Chain (CC). The channel gained huge interest after its debut thanks to its privacy feature which ensures that sensitive transaction details remain private.
Prominent Wall Street backers including Goldman Sachs, DTCC, BNY Mellon, Nasdaq, Deutsche Börse and others have also fueled the hype around the network. Its native token rose over 500% after launch, maintaining gains in the weeks since despite the recent sideways structure.
Now, Bitwise wants to offer investors looking for exposure to the token in a more user-friendly way via ETP. The product will be offered on Xetra, the online trading platform of the German company Deutsche Börse.
The channel is known for its privacy focus and as a hub for trading financial assets for institutions. Bitwise CEO Bradley Duke has further positioned Canton as a dominant player in the tokenization space.
As the tokenization of financial assets continues to gain momentum, Canton’s infrastructure positions it as an important player in digital financial markets.
The product, Bitwise Canton ETP (BWCC), has an annual management fee of 0.85% and will target investors in Europe. However, this is not Canton’s first FTE.
Bitwise joins 21Shares in Canton ETP race
In the wider European area, 21Shares offers a rival product (CANTN). In mid-May, the asset manager launched a similar product – the 21Shares Canton Network ETF (TCAN).
It was the first of its kind in the United States, with Andres Valencia, senior vice president of investment management at 21Shares, billing it as an institutional channel.
When you see names like Nasdaq, Moody’s, and Deloitte supporting common blockchain infrastructure, you’re looking at an infrastructure that has the potential to reshape the way data and capital flow in global markets.
The channel has recently signed several partnerships, including SG-FORGE.
Despite everything, its network activity has been at a standstill lately. Network activity has slowed since the end of April, then collapsed in May. This, despite momentum gathering late last year and continuing into early 2026.

The second quarter’s stagnation kept Canton’s token CC in a range between $0.17 and $0.14.
It remains to be seen whether the ETF’s hype and flows will increase CC’s breakout chances relative to its release time range.

Final summary
- Bitwise followed the steps of 21Shares and launched a Canton ETP for European markets.
- However, Guangzhou network activity has declined significantly since late April, which has effectively kept CC’s price at a moderate level.
