Key Notes

  • The price of Canton (CC) jumped 18% in 24 hours and almost 60% over the week, entering the top 20 crypto assets.
  • Nasdaq joined the Canton Network as a Super Validator, strengthening institutional credibility.
  • On-chain activity has exceeded 500,000 daily transactions, supported by a token burning mechanism and ETF interest.

Canton (CC) price started 2026 with a strong rise, gaining another 18% in the last 24 hours and now trading at $0.17.

Thanks to this, the cryptocurrency’s market capitalization exceeded $6 billion, securing its position among the top 20 digital assets.

This recent decision comes amid several catalysts working simultaneously.

Canton price jumps as Nasdaq joins network

The price of the Canton (CC) token rose sharply this week, extending its gains to almost 60% during this period.

Trading activity has also picked up, with daily volume up around 50%, making CC the best-performing asset in the broader crypto market.

Multiple catalysts contributed to the price rise. The most significant development was the confirmation that Nasdaq joined the Canton Network as a super validator.

Experts noted that this decision significantly strengthens the credibility of the project.

Canton Network is designed to support large-scale institutional settlements and regulated financial workflows.

Nasdaq’s participation will strengthen the network as an infrastructure built for compliant, enterprise-grade finance rather than retail-driven speculation.

Market participants noted that Cantion’s price action reflects growing confidence in CC’s institutional adoption narrative.

Some high-profile investors have recently committed to the Canton blockchain, with BitGo serving as the custodian.

The Canton Network positions itself as a backbone infrastructure for real-world tokenized assets, particularly U.S. Treasuries and other regulated financial instruments.

Canton ETF under development

Bitwise has filed for a multi-asset crypto ETF that includes Canton (CC), a move that puts the network on the radar of institutional investors.

While regulatory approval is not guaranteed, the filing adds weight to the network’s use as a regulated on-chain financial infrastructure.

On-chain data also supports recent price momentum. Canton processed more than 500,000 transactions in the past 24 hours, while the monthly transaction volume exceeded 15 million.

Active addresses have increased significantly since mid-December, indicating higher real usage than purely speculative trading activity.

At the same time, the network fundamentals are further strengthened by Canton’s token burning mechanism, which directly ties usage to supply reduction.

More than 450 million CC tokens have been burned so far this year, introducing a deflationary dynamic that intensifies as network activity grows.
