Castle.com, a revolutionary new online casino created by a team of RuneScape veterans, has officially launched to bring back the high-stakes thrill of the legendary Duel Arena of the 2010s. Designed for players who crave PvP staking, the community-driven platform combines instant nostalgia with a suite of custom games and the founders promise that this launch is just the first step in building a massive, interactive virtual world.
There’s a specific type of nostalgia that everyone who has evolved in the 2010s video game scene knows in their bones: the electric, breathtaking rush of a dueling arena challenge. Two players, a fortune at stake, and a crowd gathered to watch it all unfold. For years, this feeling lived only in memory.
Now he’s back – and he has a home. It’s called Castle.com.
Launched just three weeks ago, Castle is an online casino built by the biggest names in long-time RuneScape players who share the same roots and backgrounds as the people behind spaces including Stake, Duel and Rainbet. Their pitch is simple: they missed the milestone, so they rebuilt it for everyone as a different game with their own unique twist and lots of juicy updates.
“The vibe of staking in the 2010s was unparalleled,” the team says. So they decided to recreate them – not as a gimmick, but as the beating heart of an entire casino.
The dueling arena is reborn
The centerpiece of the castle is its Duel Arena – a faithful revival of the era-defining 50/50 PvP dueling system. Players compete against each other, the winner takes all, with a simple 1% tax and nothing else comes between you and the pot. It’s the purest form of the format: you, an opponent and a score settled.
Set in a striking desert landscape, Castle presents itself as a place where travelers go to fight, clash, and settle disputes for money – a spaghetti western fever dream rebuilt for gamers and the online gaming generation.

Seven Custom House games, a coherent world
Beyond the arena, Castle built seven personalized house games from the ground up, each rendered in the platform’s iconic desert graphics rather than the recycled models you’ll find everywhere else:
Crash · Dice · Blackjack · Case Fights · Limbo · Mines · Double
Each is designed to fit the world, in a deliberate effort to make Castle feel like a place – not a menu of borrowed games.
Create a character. Make friends. Make it yours.
This is where Castle begins to separate himself from the pack. Players can build a custom character among hundreds of different features and socialize directly on the platform – a nod to the game that everyone in this community grew up loving. From day one, Castle was designed to be a place where you could hang out, make friends, and have fun with the noobs. Not just a place where you bet.
And it’s only V1…
Here’s the part the team wants to be very clear on: all of the above is just version 1.
The larger plan is, they say, something that has truly never been done before – an entire project GTA – and the Sims–like the world with MMORPG DNA, where you wander around, make friends, earn rare cosmetics, and play in a lively, interactive environment. The end goal is to have every playable house game in this world – imagine playing blackjack with a knight dealing cards, playing dice against peasants, betting on camel races with your friends, all in the unique desert landscape of Castle.
V2 is only a few months awayand it’s ambitious: a walk-around lobby inspired by the old duel arena where you can wander around, Tip your friends, challenge players, chat in-game, wield new in-game weapons, and handle 1-on-1s and rare cosmetics earned through achievements such as winning streaks, volume and activity.
There’s also a full roster of in-game emotes on the way – directly connected to today’s internet culture (think MOG, the Gymskin shoulder roll, the 67 dance, the Conor McGregor walk, the tea bag, and many more current and old internet culture memes). Translation: Prepare for some legendary in-game trolling.
The goal, in the team’s words, is to create the most exciting gamified casino ever, so immersive you won’t want to play anywhere else.

Straight from the top
The owner of the castle, known as Desert, made it clear:
“We plan to be the most immersive and exciting gamified casino ever built. We wanted to do something no one else has done before. We have a highly skilled team of 6 developers, 4 graphic designers and over 10 other employees working full-time around the clock on this project. They all see our vision, it’s really a lot of fun to build, so we don’t view it as a job but rather a passion project. We won’t skimp not to make this the most unique and interactive casino ever built.
A community-focused launch
Castle is not waiting for V2 to reward its players. Since launching three weeks ago, the team has been running frequent giveaways and generous weekly contests for its Discord community – and that’s where the action, announcements, and prizes are.
