Coinbase will launch Mag7 + Crypto Equity Index Futures to create the first American classified product that combines traditional actions and an exhibition at the crypto, according to an announcement of September 2.
The product will start on September 22, arriving less than two months after Coinbase began to offer perpetuates regulated by CFTC to American customers in July.
The hybrid index follows 10 components also weighted: the seven largest American technological companies, known as “magnificent seven”, the clean stock of Coinbase, and the Etf Bitcoin and Ethereum de Blackrock Ethereum.
Each component represents 10% of the index, with a quarterly rebalancing to maintain equal weights.
The seven magnificent stocks include Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia, Meta and Tesla. Exposure to cryptocurrencies is provided by the ETF Ishares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) and Ishares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA), offering indirect access to the two largest digital assets by market capitalization.
Product structure
Coinbase positions the product as responding to investors’ demand for double exposure to traditional financial instruments and digital assets.
The company said that no derivative in the United States previously had access to actions and cryptocurrencies within a long-term product.

Mensual cash contracts represent $ 1 multiplied by the value of the index. An index price of $ 3,000, each contract would bear a notional value of $ 3,000. Marketvector serves as an official index provider for calculation and maintenance.
The launch is based on the expansion of Coinbase derivatives after its introduction in July of perpetual contracts regulated by CFTC for American customers.
These products offer a lever effect up to 10x with costs of 0.02% on major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana.
Coinbase supervises the contracts in the long term on the index of actions as marking “the next evolution of our suite of products” and opening the way to multi-active derivatives which widen access and efficiency for investors.
The company promises to extend the availability of retail users in the coming months after the initial launch via partner platforms.
