Ethereum received an incredible response to the Miami Bitcoin conference. We have traveled there by anticipating many technical questions as well as a philosophical discussion on the objective of Ethereum; However, the overwhelming quantity of interest and enthusiasm for the project was much greater than expected. The Ethereum project is also delighted to announce the alpha version of the Open Source Testnet client to the community in early February. The launch of the testnet on this date will give those interested in fundraising a chance to better understand what the Ethereum project is before participating.
The testnet will include full support for sending and receiving transactions, the initial version of the script language as described in our white paper, and may or may not include mining. It will also be the first major cryptocurrency project to bring out two official customers at the same time, with one written in C ++ and the other in Go; A Python client is also in preparation. A compiler of the Ethereum CLL script in Ethereum will be published very soon.

The sale of ether will not be launched on February 1 and any attempt to collect funds at the moment should be considered a scam.
