The SHIB army should only rely on official sources and avoid suspicious websites that may misappropriate its funds.

Shiba Inu has one of the largest and most active communities in the crypto industry, making it a prime environment for scammers to target their victims.

In the following lines, we will sound the alarm on the latest threat for which users must remain vigilant.

Fraudsters drain wallets

The X Shibarium Trustwatch account recently warned that fraudsters had created a malicious website impersonating the official Shiba Inu platform. Fake promotions include “special” promotions and false claims of partnerships and pre-sale bonuses intended to trick people into connecting their wallets.

“Once logged in, the site may initiate unauthorized transactions and drain your assets,” the team behind the X account warned.

Shiba Inu users are advised to rely only on the official website of the project, where they can find reliable information about the entire ecosystem. They should never connect their wallet to unknown sites, double-check URLs and report any suspicious activity.

But that’s not all. Scammers have also spread across popular social media and messaging apps like Discord, Telegram, and

The previous threat

Earlier this month, the team issued another warning related to a malicious Shiba Inu drop. It revealed that real SHIB tokens were distributed into some users’ wallets; However, malicious actors attached a deceptive message inviting people to visit a suspicious website to claim rewards. This is a classic example of a phishing scam.

“The token itself may be valid, but the message is designed to trick users into connecting their wallets to a fake site,” Shibarium Trustwatch said.

As usual, the team has provided some essential steps users should follow to stay safe. These measures include verifying all token activity through official Shiba Inu channels, ignoring messages embedded in token names and airdrops, and avoiding unknown websites that promote such deals.
