Calls for Hong Kong and the mainland to collaborate on cryptocurrency initiatives reflect the expected benefits of both markets. The city already serves as a major international financial center, while many developers from the continent are involved in digital payments And artificial intelligence.
“Hong Kong is focusing on areas such as virtual asset trading and financing,” said Rachel Lee, director of blockchain and digital assets to Cyberporta program supported by the Hong Kong government technology hub and to start up incubator.
