Yesterday, wave #01 of Devcon tickets sold out just minutes after going live! After two years of waiting, the whole team awaited this moment with curious suspense. But don’t worry, no more waves of tickets are arriving soon.
Today we are excited to announce the return of the Devcon Scholars programan EF initiative to help critical Ethereum builders overcome barriers to participating in Devcon. Read below to find out if the Devcon Scholars program is right for you and for information on how to apply.
Additionally, we are happy to announce the first events that will take place around Devcon in Bogotá, making Devcon more than just a 4-day conference but a whole Devcon Week experience.
Devcon Week includes Ethereum-related events taking place around the official conference days of October 11-14. In homage to the decentralized organization of Devconnect, Devcon Week begins with an EthGlobal hackathon, ends with a community co-working space and will feature events like Schellingpoint and ETH Latam Day. We will post more events on the Devcon Week calendar in the coming weeks!*
*This calendar does not include the many community events, meetings and social gatherings that will take place around Devcon. So expect another page soon that will include more information about events organized by the broader Ethereum community.
The Devcon Scholars program returns
We are happy to announce the return of the Devcon Scholars program!
If your attendance at Devcon VI could make a difference in the future of Ethereum and you are unable to attend due to cost, please apply for the scholarship program between today and August 1.
Devcon is the ultimate venue for builders and collaborators and is also an opportunity to attract new faces, new places and entire communities. However, some critical builders in the Ethereum ecosystem face barriers to participating in Devcon (monetary or otherwise).
The Devcon Scholarship Program is providing comprehensive support to make Devcon more accessible to 50 people who have the potential to make a big impact on Ethereum and its community, but who cannot attend without assistance, monetary or otherwise. Students will receive Devcon tickets, funding for transportation, accommodation, per diem and visa application. Before Devcon and during Devcon WeekOnline and in-person meetings will allow fellows to get to know each other, learn and prepare for the best experience in Bogotá, Colombia.

The Devcon Scholars program is for you if you think your participation in Devcon would make a difference to the future of Ethereum. We want Devcon Bogotá to be a hub of Ethereum innovation, and for that to happen, we need the most talented builders in our ecosystem to be there, regardless of their circumstances.
Whether you are a builder, entrepreneur, community organizer, journalist, teacher, researcher, or student, if you think your participation in Devcon would make a difference in the future of Ethereum, please let us know how you consider taking advantage of this opportunity by filling this request. The submission deadline is August 1, 2022.
