This year we have opened applications for those who wish to attend Devcon with Builder And Student Discounts, like Speakers, Supporters, Volunteers or like Press. But what about improvements to general attendance passes? Today we want to announce the Auctions and raffle – A new method of ticket distribution and a way to save a Devcon ticket before regular ticket sales.

Today We are extending the deadline for speaker applications by one week. If you have not had the opportunity to submit an application to speak and would like to do so, go to the application form here. THE The new deadline to submit is July 5, 23:59:59 UTC.
Applicants will hear the status of their application before the end of July. You can find more information about the evaluation process and criteria. here.
The first tickets for Devcon VI: discover the Devcon auction and raffle
Ticket distribution is always a challenge when demand exceeds supply, and we have spent time thinking about new ways to provide more opportunities to those looking to attend Devcon VI.
This year we will organize an auction and a pre-sale raffle for the first Devcon VI ticketswith the help of the incredible Truefi development team.
Over the past few years, waves of DevCon tickets, scheduled on different days and times, have aimed to target a more diverse demographic than a single sale. Still, there are benefits for those in the right time zones, or even geographically closer to our physical ticketing servers. In general, our goal is to distribute tickets as widely as possible, and without requiring most attendees to wait and refresh a website at a certain time (whenever possible).
How will the auction work?
The auction and drawing will take place on Arbitrum, a layer 2 stack that sits on the Ethereum mainnet. We advise Bridging Funds to Arbitrum in advance if you wish to participate, and ETH will be the only accepted payment method.
The ticket auction will resemble a traditional auction: participants can submit bids and the 20 highest bidders will each receive a ticket to Devcon VI, in exchange for their bid amount. The minimum bid required to participate in the auction will be 0.25 ETH (a significant discount below the price of a general admission ticket).
And better yet, the profits will be donated to public goods! Oh, and everyone involved in the Auctions and raffle will receive a POAP NFT to indicate their participation.

Note: Smart contract wallets like Argent & Gnosis Safe will not be compatible with the auction and raffle this year. We plan to modify contracts in future iterations to allow us to accept smart contract wallets.
How will the raffle work?
All participants who are not among the top 20 bids will have another chance to win one of 80 tickets to Devcon VI at the reserve price (0.25 ETH) through a random drawing!
Each person who wins the drawing will be able to withdraw any additional ETH above the reserve price. If you don’t win either during the drawing or auction, you can withdraw your entire bid amount, less a 2% sybil resistance fee.

- Bid begins at 08:00 UTC on July 5, 2022,
- The auctions will be Closed at 07:59 UTC on July 14, 2022.
- The minimum bid required to participate in the auction will be 0.25 ETH (a significant discount below the price of a general admission ticket).
- The 20 highest bidders will each receive a ticket to Devcon VI in exchange for their bid amount.
- All other bidders will be entered into a drawing to win one of 80 tickets to Devcon VI at the reserve price.
- All funds/profits will be donated to public goods.
Claim deadline
The winners of the Auctions and raffle will have 48 hours to claim their ticket. Once these 48 hours have passed, You will no longer be able to exchange your voucher or withdraw your funds. Set your reminders! ⏲️
