The Italian would have held and tortured for 17 days for the Bitcoin password, but did not break

The tourist, a 28 -year -old man aimed at Italy, met the kidnapper accused on May 6, sources said. At this same meeting, Woeltz would have taken the Italian man to a house he rented in Nolita, a high-end district in the Manhattan district in New York.
According to a criminal complaint filed in New York, Woeltz and an unidentified “unidentified man” removed the victim, took his electronic devices and his passport and tortured him until he managed to escape seventeen days later.
The pair was trying to make the victim give access to his Bitcoin wallet, and when he refused, they beat him, shocked him with electric wires and hit him in the head with a pistol.
Woeltz and the third trading partner would have targeted a firearm on the victim’s head on several occasions, hung him over a staircase on the ground and threatened to kill him if he did not reveal his password.
Sources close to the case also said that the kidnappers urined the victim and put an apple apple around the Italian’s neck to make sure that he did not escape.
No details have yet been published on how the victim managed to escape Friday. However, by escaping, the Italian met a road traffic agent who called the police at Nolita’s home, where John Victor Woeltz was arrested later.

By digging in the history of Woeltz, the reason for the removal of cryptography is a surprise. Sources have said that the alleged kidnapper is an eminent cryptography merchant of the Kentucky State which was worth the north of $ 100 million.
On the other hand, the same sources say that the Italian victim has an estimated net value at around $ 30 million. Due to the supposedly supposed trade relationship of the trio, there could be several reasons why Woeltz and his accomplice viciously torture the victim for his Bitcoin password.
The sources said Woeltz would have rented Prince Street’s residence at a monthly rate between $ 30,000 and $ 40,000. Online registration for the house indicates that it was rented for the last time in March for $ 75,000.
Whether it was a matter that has gone wrong or simply pure greed, it occurs in the heels of a series of abductions linked to crypto across France and elsewhere.
Earlier this year, a co-founder of the Hard Crypto portfolio company, Ledger, was kidnapped with his wife in a ransom attempt. David Balland had his finger cut during the event before the French special forces carried out a successful rescue operation which also saw the wife of Balland found and unharmed.
Again, a few weeks ago, the daughter and granddaughter of an owner of the French crypto exchange were victims of an attempted cryptography in broad daylight in the streets of Paris.
Fortunately, the girl’s husband rejected the attackers before the public members intervened, and the criminals were forced to abandon the intrigue.
