Ethena Labs has teamed up with Digital Anchorage to launch an entirely regulated version of its stable USDTB in the United States, aligning with the newly promulgated engineering law, according to a press release of July 24.
The collaboration marks an important step for Ethena as it transitions the issue of the USDTB to a national regulated engineering law that US President Donald Trump has recently signed.
The Act on Engineering creates a federal regulatory framework for stablecoins and grants the supervisory authority for the federal reserve on the industry. It requires strict conditions on reserve assets and compliance requirements for transmitters operating in the United States.
Anchorage role
Ethena has confirmed that the USDTB will now be published directly by Anchorage, a cryptographic institution with a federal charter.
According to the company, the program will use the stable anchorage platform, which offers a rationalized path for institutions to disclose compliant digital dollars.
Anchorage remains the only cryptocurrency enterprise in the country with a federal banking charter, which gives it a unique advantage in the issuance of compliant digital assets.
By moving her emission to the ground, Ethena takes a stronger foot on the market for American stablescoin while strengthening the confidence of investors thanks to the regulatory state of anchorage.
Nathan McCauley, CEO and co-founder of Digital Anchorage, said:
“The adoption of the engineering law provides regulatory clarity which allows institutions regulated by the federal government as an anchorage Digital Bank to participate fully in the Stablecoin ecosystem … As the stablescoins become a fundamental layer of modern finance, it is essential, they are built on secure infrastructures, in accordance with the last.”
USDTB sees high demand
Guy Young, CEO of Ethena Labs, said that the company had seen a high demand for USDTB, which led to the decision to make digital engineering in accordance with geniuses.
He added:
“We expect engineering compliance to allow our partners and holders to expand with confidence and significantly its use on new products and platforms.”
The USDTB was initially launched in December 2024 in collaboration with Securitize, the issuer of the Buidl Tokenized fund of BlackRock.
The token represents a part of the BlackRock Buidl Fund, which contains more than $ 2.4 billion in assets, mainly short -term American cash bills.
Buidl is the largest tokenized cash flow fund and operates in several blockchain networks, notably Ethereum, Aptos, Avalanche and layer 2 networks such as Arbitrum, Optimism and Polygon.
