  • Ethereum average active addresses increased to 670K.
  • The recent drop in ETH exposed Trump WLFI to an unrealized loss of $ 14.9 million.

Ethereum (ETH) Active addresses increased by 37% and exceeded the summits of March 2024, reporting an increase in network activity at the start of 2025.

By the Blockchain Intotheblock analysis company, network addresses climbed to 670K last week, against more than 400K in March 2024.

“The average number of Active Ethereum addresses exceeded 620k last week, the highest since March 2024!”

Although one entity can open several addresses and dilute metrics, regular growth suggests massive adoption of the network.

Large players leading to a DEFI activity?

During the same period, ETH TVL (total locked value) increased from $ 65 billion to $ 98 billion before retiring to $ 84 billion at the time of the press.

For the context, TVL follows the amount of funds locked through the DEFI ecosystem.

For Ethereum, the AAVE loan platform and the Lido liquid strings platform ordered the highest share of the TVL in the chain. The two platforms represented more than $ 60 billion in the ETH TVL.

Since they are the favorites of the institutions, we could assume that the great players are behind the activity of the network.

That said, World Liberty Finance by President Trump (WLFI) was one of the recent aggressive ETH buyers. However, the recent drop of 8% of ETH to $ 3,000 exposed the company to an unrealized massive loss worth $ 14.9 million.

Meanwhile, the ETH price has been in a downward trend but has managed to defend the $ 3,000 support area.

However, since it has repeatedly retested, a violation of the decline could not be canceled, especially if the lowering feeling persists after the post-FOMC meeting.

On the other hand, a reversal could lift the ETH up to the range of $ 3.5,000 or the resistance area (red) to $ 3.6,000 to $ 3.7,000.
