Fedex is the last customer to adopt the Kinexys digital payments from JP Morgan, a bank account solution based on the blockchain. Kinexys allows business cash services to instantly move money between JP Morgan 24/7 branches in dollars, euros and books. It also provides greater control to the treasurer, as payments are programmable.
The Courier global giant uses blockchain payments in collaboration with the theoretical pooling service of JP Morgan, which allows group subsidiaries to have free discoveries provided that another subsidiary has a compensating positive banking balance – without requiring real balance transfers between entities.
While JP Morgan has announced several Kinexys customers in financial services, fewer business customers have publicly revealed their participation. In 2021, Siemens was the first customer to announce that he was using the solution, then called JPM Coin. He was also the first to announce that he used programmable payments when this feature was added.
