Main to remember
The Solana 2027 roadmap targets Internet capital markets via ACE, BAM and Doublezero upgrades, aimed at revolutionizing the execution of transactions, reducing financial costs and increasing performance for global financial disturbances.
The Solana (Sol) Foundation has published an ambitious 2027 roadmap describing its vision to become the fundamental infrastructure of Internet capital markets (ICMS).
Internet capital markets, a term invented by the former basic contributor of Solana, Akshay BD, describe a large world digital book where assets, entities and cultures are tokenized – making the financial markets accessible to anyone with an internet connection.
According to the roadmap, the construction of this system has always been the “original mission” of Solana.

Market microstructure occupies the stage
Solana has made progress in improving the network’s speed and efficiency, but according to its last roadmap, technical improvements will not alone resolve its basic challenges.
The network identifies the “market microstructure” – the mechanics of the way transactions are executed – as its most urgent problem.
To solve this problem, Solana deploys a new frame called execution controlled by the application (ACE). This allows intelligent contracts to manage their own transaction command with precision at the level of millisecond.

In particular, Solana makes a daring passage of traditional finance by transferring control of transactions from centralized institutions to intelligent contracts.
In the coming months …
Solana will soon launch the Jito block assembly market (BAM) on Testnet. It is a system giving validators and traders more control over the execution of transactions.
This is an early step towards reshaping how users interact with the network, aimed at creating faster and more effective capital markets.
Another major update is DoubleZero, a network of peer-to-peer fibers which transports transactions outside the public internet.
Now in Testnet, it involves more than 100 validators and 3% of Mainnet participation. Doublezero is designed to improve speed and safety.
It is planned for the full launch in mid-September.
What is the next step?
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the network generated more than $ 800 million in income; An amazing jump of practically zero the previous year. In particular, this growth came with a minimum adoption of traditional financial institutions.
Industry analysts suggest that Solana could reduce financial service costs from 90 to 99%. This would position the network to capture important market share of inherited players.
Solana has already exceeded Ethereum in the volume of negotiation and treats thousands of transactions every second.
As it targets the global market of payments of $ 1.4 billion, Solana stands out with ultra -basic costs – less than a penny by transaction – accomplished by traditional methods such as metal transfers ($ 25) or credit cards (more than 2%).
To support this expansion, Solana recently increased the block capacity by 20% to 60 million calculation units and provides for new scalability upgrades by the end of 2025.
