With a 12% price increase, Hyperliquide (HYPE) extended its rally for a sixth consecutive day. Demand from whales and institutions continued to support this development.
At press time, HYPE was trading at $71.75, up 12% in the last 24 hours. Trading volume also jumped 98% to $1.33 billion, reflecting strong market participation.
The increase in volume and price suggests that investors remain confident in the ongoing uptrend.
Why do large investors buy HYPE?
Growing interest from whales and large market players continued to support HYPE’s rally.
Recently, Onchain Lens reported that a whale deposited $5.5 million in USDC on Hyperliquid and opened a long position in 120,000 HYPE worth $7.86 million using 10x leverage.
Meanwhile, another analyst reported that wallet address 0xf7A withdrew 47,000 HYPE worth $3.16 million from Bybit.
Additionally, Wall Street investors seemed to be following a similar trend. According to SoSoValue, HYPE spot ETFs saw $17.19 million in inflows on June 15, 2026. The inflows highlighted growing demand from traditional investors and added another level of support to the rally.

Are traders still betting on the rise?
Derivatives traders also appear to support the move.
At press time, HYPE’s Long/Short ratio stood at 1.06, indicating bullish positioning among traders.
Meanwhile, the IO-weighted funding rate turned positive and climbed to 0.0346%. This suggests that traders were willing to pay a premium to maintain long positions. This alignment between whale activity, ETF inflows and derivatives data has reinforced the bullish outlook.

Can HYPE reach $76?
According to TradingView’s four-hour chart, Hyperliquide (HYPE) has maintained a short-term bullish structure.
The altcoin also traded above the 200-day exponential moving average (EMA), indicating that buyers remained in control. Based on current price action, HYPE could retest $76 if it holds above the $65 support level.

A break above $76 could open the door to a new all-time high. However, failure to reach this level could trigger another pullback. This story allowed traders to focus on a resistance area that had previously rejected price on June 2-4, 2026.
Further supporting the bullish scenario, the Average Directional Index (ADX) climbed to 34.47. A reading above 25 generally signals a strong trend.
