Inside Kraken VIP: behind the curtain

Welcome to the first edition of a monthly look at what sets the Kraken VIP experience apart.

What’s new

Security Analyst Sessions

People who target crypto accounts are not opportunists. They operate like businesses: organized, data-driven, and persistent. A high-value account is a high-value target, and generic security tips aren’t enough.

That’s why we’ve introduced Security Analyst Sessions for VIP customers: a private, one-on-one review with a member of the Kraken security team, built around your specific setup, not a checklist.

These sessions cover account security settings (master key, 2FA funding, global settings lock), authentication methods from SMS to hardware keys, email and device security, and a plain English overview of how modern attacks actually work. Phishing. Malware. Social engineering. Account takeover. The kind of thing that’s easier to defend against once you understand how it works.

This is one of the most convenient things we can offer a VIP customer, and we’re happy that it’s now officially part of the program.

VIP references

VIP customers have always been some of Kraken’s most trusted advocates. Now, reliable presentations come with formal structure and meaningful reward.

Once registered, VIP customers receive a personal referral link. When someone they introduce begins trading, the referrer earns a share of the revenue on eligible spot, futures, margin, staking, and xStocks activities.

There is no cap; each reference is independent and continuous. It is designed to reward the type of relationships already established, not to cast a wide net.

A record month for private sessions

This period also saw a record number of private sessions booked with Kraken experts. VIP customers have access to three types:

  1. Sessions with Thomas Perfumo, Kraken Chief Economist covering macro trends and market conditions
  2. Sessions for product managers with senior members of Kraken’s product teams in OTC, Margin, Custody, Futures and Kraken Pro
  3. The new one launched Security Analyst Sessions. Demand was strong. If you haven’t booked one yet, speak to your relationship manager.

From Melbourne to Amsterdam: the human side of VIP

The last few months have taken our team and clients to three very different corners of the world.

Australian Open: Melbourne

We hosted a group of VIP guests at the men’s final, starting with dinner at a restaurant on the banks of the Yarra River before heading to the arena. What struck us most was not the match; it was table conversation. Customers broached the subject of financing issues with Australian banks (a real and shared frustration), and what started as commiseration turned into a practical and honest discussion about how Kraken could help them. A client who was introduced to our OTC office during event planning later shared extremely positive feedback and their intention to bring their entire FX business to Kraken. Their guests left motivated to achieve VIP-level activity themselves.

That’s the benefit of bringing people together around the table: important conversations tend to happen naturally.

Super Bowl: San Francisco

Ten VIP clients and four guests joined us for a full weekend. The arrival dinner on Saturday took place in a Chinese restaurant, chosen by one of our VIPs. Sunday was hotel breakfast, organic presentations and guests finding their own rhythm before even arriving at the stadium.

The pre-game tent has become a hub for the type of conversations you don’t plan: margin, OTC, prediction markets, benchmarks and a healthy dose of genuine enthusiasm for the game itself. Inside the stadium, standing room next to the bar transformed into a natural gathering point, and patrons bonded as much over the halftime show as anything else. During the post-game hamburger chase, the group had stopped feeling like an organized event and was starting to feel like a community.

This peer-to-peer connection is something we cannot manufacture. We can only create the conditions for this.

GLORY Kickboxing: Amsterdam

Our first VIP event in the region: a two-day experience built around dinner at the Michelin star chef’s table at The Duchess on Friday and a full GLORY SuperFights and Main Card experience on Saturday, with a private transfer to Arnhem and access to the VIP lounge.

The small group format (three customers) meant that Friday dinner conversations were in-depth and Saturday’s atmosphere was truly electric. We also heard honest feedback: some clients expressed a preference for one-on-one meetings, and a few expressed concerns about anonymity during group events. We take this seriously. The best thing about a small program is that the feedback loops are short, and we’re already thinking about how the format will evolve from here.

What customers tell us

We conducted our Q1 2026 NPS survey among VIP customers in dozens of countries. Responses were received in five languages, with 97% of respondents saying they wanted to stay in the program.

But the numbers don’t tell the story. The story is in the comments. Clients refer to their relationship managers by name – not by their role, their name. Several described their relationship manager as the reason they left another exchange to join Kraken, or the reason they felt safe on an exchange after a difficult experience elsewhere. One customer said it simply: “Personal contact in the age of digital robots. »

What’s coming

The pipeline for the rest of the year is significant. A VIP wine retreat for selected clients. F1 hospitality throughout the season. Wimbledon-Tennis. A day behind the scenes with the Atlassian Williams F1 Team, specially designed for VIPs wishing to bring their children. Regional community dinners closer to home for guests who haven’t yet been able to join us at major events. Industry conferences and events. And much more.

On the product side: VIP yield opportunities with better pricing and more flexibility are in development, and Kraken Pro’s VIP portal is getting significant upgrades, including in-app Relationship Manager verification. We’re also building a private VIP community space where customers can connect directly with each other and the Kraken team.

More on all this in the next edition.

Want to know more?

If you are not already part of Kraken VIP and would like to understand what the program entails or if you might be eligible, contact us. We’re always happy to have the conversation.

And if you are already a VIP customer: thank you. Every feedback, every event, every session you book helps us build something better. This summary exists because you asked for more transparency about the program. We hope this will be effective.
