World Mobile, a mobile network fueled by blockchain with a sharing economy model, announced a major partnership with Dito CME to provide internet connectivity focused on blockchain to millions of users in the Philippines.
In an ad shared with Crypto.News on February 5, World Mobile said that its collaboration with the Dito Telecom portfolio would broaden Internet access to more than 25 million Philippins. Integration comes in the middle of renewed efforts to stimulate the adoption of cryptography and blockchain in the Philippines.
As part of this strategic alliance, companies will take advantage of the decentralized physical infrastructure network of World Mobile alongside the Network of Dito CME operators.
According to the two companies, the objective is to improve mobile and wide -band connectivity in the Philippines, with a particular accent on poorly served rural areas.
Micky Watkins, CEO of World Mobile Group, commented:
“This partnership with Dito CME represents an important step in our mission to democratize access to connectivity around the world. By taking advantage of blockchain technology and a decentralized sharing economy model, we can empower communities and provide connectivity solutions that guarantee that no one is left behind “
A solution supplied by the blockchain not only improves the overall scope of the network, but also stimulates innovation, accelerating the growth of digital finances across the country.
The expansion of connectivity fueled by blockchain to rural communities is a key objective of the global partnership of Mobiles and Dito CME. In addition to World Mobile’s backdrop, platforms will integrate the airlink-powered air notes to improve coverage.
The partnership also presents DTAKA, an electronic wallet based on the blockchain integrated into the Ecosystem Dito CME. DTAKA uses a double token model: a stablecoin to facilitate funding and transfers of mobile money, and a utility token for gamification and loyalty rewards.
The deployment of new features, including the DTAKA portfolio, should start in 2025 in the Philippines. World Mobile and Dito CME also plan to extend these capacities through the world mobile chain and the DTAKA application in the coming months.
