Israel Pirate the Nobite of Iran, Burns Funds, reveals the source code

Iran has imposed a commercial curfew on crypto exchanges after a pro-Israeli hack stole more than $ 90 million in Nobitex digital assets, then burned the loot and revealed the source code of the exchange.

The curfew, imposed by the Iranian central bank, limits the crypto trade at 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. local time, said the blockchain analysis company, said in a blog article on June 18.

This decision seemed to be a response to the fears of additional cyber attacks in the middle of the war between Israel and Iran, said the head of national security of the chain channel. Andrew Fierman.

“The incidents are easier to sort it out if they do not occur in the middle of the night,” he said.

The hacking group Gonjeshke Darande, or Sparrow predator, has taken credit for piracy on X, and said that the exchange was targeted because it is often used as “sanctions violation tool”.

Several cybersecurity companies have noted that hacking had not been carried out for a profit because all the assets that were drained from the platform were sent to burn addresses without known private keys. Chainalysis also said that Nobitex piracy corresponds to a cyberattack diagram coinciding with tension tips between Iran and Israel.

However, the incident seems to be politically motivated. Several of these burner portfolios included insults against the body of the Iranian revolutionary guard.

After transferring the Nobitex funds stolen from the burner wallets, the group threatened to put the remaining assets on risk exchange and expose vital technical details on the platform infrastructure.

Earlier in the day, the group held its promise and shared what they claim to be the full source code of Nobitex as well as details on the servers of the platform.
