Kraken VIP is a distinctly personal global program. This is what the last six weeks have looked like.
On the ground
Paris, April 14. The Kraken VIP dinner during Paris Blockchain Week took place under the golden ceilings of the Château de Versailles. Patrons reported being “genuinely amazed” and the evening turned into a sort of long, unhurried conversation, which rarely happens at a conference.
Seville, April 18. We hosted four Atlético matches in the space of a few weeks, totaling 16 VIP guests with plus-ones at the Champions League matches and the Copa del Rey final in Seville. After the trip to Seville, a customer wrote: “It was a spectacular evening. Everything was perfectly coordinated, the rest, the way there and the way back.”

For the Atlético v Arsenal Champions League match in Madrid on May 1st, we hosted a pre-match meeting in a private museum-style venue with wine and tapas before moving to the VIP box. One guest brought his father who, in the guest’s words, “couldn’t believe what he was experiencing.”
Hong Kong, April 21. First Kraken VIP dinner in Asia-Pacific. A milestone for the program and a reminder of how quickly the region came together. After dinner, the group then moved to a second location for more intimate conversations.
Lisbon, April 22. A private dining room with city views, organized in collaboration with the OTC team. Founders, protocol managers, crypto policy makers, family office heads and CEOs around the same table; a 5-course menu with food and wine pairings and VIP branded menus on every place setting.
Las Vegas and Miamiend of April/beginning of May. During Bitcoin Vegas, we hosted a VIP dinner at Komodo. A few weeks later, Consensus hosted several lunches and dinners throughout the week, including a VIP Kraken dinner where chief economist Thomas Perfumo spent unhurried time with clients.
The Miami Grand Prix, May 3. A Williams Racing weekend which attracted customers from several regions. Feedback came back as 10s across the board, with each facet of the experience rated Very Satisfied or better.
Co-CEO Arjun Sethi and CMO Mayur Gupta were both on the ground and spent time directly with VIPs. A customer came in with product suggestions that turned into direct conversations with the product team before the weekend was over.
Each of these moments seemed specific to the rooms they were in. Versailles for Paris Blockchain Week. A Lisbon dining room with city views for the city’s crypto community. A box at Atlético for guests who love football. The program extends globally and appears locally.
The new VIP portal
On May 13, the Kraken VIP portal went live on the Kraken Pro web.
Inside the all-new VIP portal, customers will find a dedicated homepage including:
- An RM card shows customers exactly who their RM is, with a direct line to reach them
- Private sessions with our Chief Economist Thomas Perfumo and our Product Managers can be requested directly from the portal.
- Priority VIP support built-in and connected to the same Client Engagement chat infrastructure customers already know
- Milestones and rewards appeared in the app, with a simple flow to confirm gift shipping
- A hub of event and experience preferences, allowing customers to directly express their interest in what we organize
- Real-time market information from Thomas’ office
Kraken VIP has always been built on personal and high-level relationships. The portal does not replace any of this. It gives him a home.
Private sessions
The private VIP sessions continue to be one of the most valuable parts of the program. To date, 97 sessions have been completed in all three formats: 1:1 with Thomas, sessions with our security and risk managers, and sessions with Kraken product leaders.
Thomas’ footprint outside of 1:1s has also continued to grow. It now includes weekly macro presentations, a bi-weekly VIP newsletter, and a growing list of institutional research relationships, including Citizens JMP, Jefferies, JP Morgan, Citi, Deutsche Bank, RealVision, and Ark Invest.
What awaits us
Relationship manager coverage expanded significantly this spring and the experience calendar continues to fill up. The FIFA World Cup, Wimbledon, the Monaco Grand Prix and a VIP retreat at Kraken Castle are all on the way. Development of the portal is ongoing, with a mobile version in the works.
Create momentum
Six weeks. Seven cities. A portal launch. Dozens of conversations are still ongoing.
The schedule is bigger than it was a year ago and busier than three months ago, and each evening still feels like it was prepared for the venue in which it takes place. Want to know more?
