Rimantas Petrauskas announced the release of Local commercial copier version 3.0.0 for MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5), introducing a major update focused on trade execution flexibility, ancillary company compatibility, and improved account synchronization for forex trading environments worldwide.

Starting with version 3.0.0, the MT4 and MT5 editions of Local Trade Copier now share the same version numbering system, simplifying update tracking and maintenance for traders managing multiple trading platforms.
The release introduces several new features designed to help traders operating under proprietary trading firm rules, broker execution restrictions and multi-account forex trading setups. One of the most notable additions is a new Manual type execution modewhich opens copied trades via the MetaTrader order window so that trades appear as manually placed rather than “placed by an expert”.

The feature also allows applying Stop Loss and Take Profit values when entering the trade. In situations where brokers restrict automated trade management, traders can still manage trade exits manually while maintaining manual-like trading placement behavior.
“Many traders have asked for more flexibility in how copied trades are executed, especially when it comes to prop company rules and broker restrictions,” said Rimantas Petrauskas, founder of Local Trade Copier. “Version 3.0.0 aims to give traders more execution control while maintaining reliable synchronization between MT4 and MT5 accounts.”
Main features introduced in Local Trade Copier 3.0.0
● Manual type execution mode: Trades can now be opened through the MetaTrader trading window, allowing copied positions to appear as manually placed trades.
● Random transaction entry delays: A new Open Delay Random Range system randomly delays copied trades between user-defined minimum and maximum values, helping to create less predictable trade entry timing between accounts.
● Random transaction closing delays: The new Close Delay Random Range feature applies random delays before closing copied transactions, reducing the behavior of closing identical transactions.
● Trade protection requirement: Traders can now require that copied trades already contain Stop Loss, Take Profit, or both before trade copy software is allowed to copy them.
● MT5 Compatibility Fix Error 4756: The update improves compatibility with MT5 brokers and resolves the well-known trading error 4756 which prevented trades from being copied on some MT5 brokers.
● Improved detection of MT5 trading sessions: Improved trading session detection helps prevent incorrect session close reporting on some brokers and proprietary trading firms.
● Migrating to point-based calculations: All settings and calculations in Local Trade Copier now use points instead of pips, simplifying configuration consistency across brokers and instruments with different number formats.
● Random SL/TP setting mode: A new Stop Loss and Take Profit copy mode can randomly increase SL/TP distances by configurable points, helping copied trades appear less identical to the original master trades.
According to the company, these changes aim to improve the flexibility of traders managing multiple MetaTrader accounts, including forex trading systems, algorithmic trading setups and proprietary trading strategies.
Why this is important for prop company traders:
Proprietary trading companies have become a major segment of the retail industry. Many companies monitor execution models, risk controls and account behavior. As a result, traders are increasingly looking for tools that offer greater flexibility in how trades are copied and managed across multiple accounts.
The new manual-style execution mode, random entry and exit delays, and trade protection requirements were developed in response to these evolving requirements. Together, these commercial copier features give traders additional control over execution behavior while maintaining account sync.
“The goal of version 3.0.0 was to give traders more flexibility in how copied trades are executed while keeping the setup process simple,” added Petrauskas. “Several of the new features were developed in response to requests from active users operating on personal accessory and trading company accounts.”
Continued focus on MT4 and MT5 compatibility
Despite the growth of alternative trading platforms, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 remain among the most widely used trading platforms in the world. Local Trade Copier continues to focus on improving compatibility between brokers, proprietary trading firms and different instrument types.
Version 3.0.0 includes improvements to MT5 trading session detection, fixes for MT5 error 4756, and a simplified points-based setup system designed to reduce setup complexity in various broker environments.
Trade protection requirement helps reduce risk from missing stop loss orders
Version 3.0.0 introduces a new Trade Protection Requirement feature that allows traders to require copied trades to already have a Stop Loss, Take Profit, or both before Local Trade Copier is allowed to copy them.
This feature was designed to address two common risks faced by traders at retail and proprietary trading firms. First, it provides an extra layer of protection against human error. Even when traders copy trades from their own main account, errors can occur and a position can sometimes be opened without Stop Loss. By refusing to copy unprotected trades, Local Trade Copier helps prevent such errors from spreading across multiple accounts.
Second, many proprietary trading firms require that positions be protected by a Stop Loss at the time of entry. Failure to follow these rules may result in account violations or, in some cases, loss of a funded account. The new protection requirement helps traders maintain greater compliance with risk management rules while reducing operational risk on synced trading accounts.
New Features Help Create More Unique Trade Execution Models
Version 3.0.0 also introduces several features that allow copied transactions to differ from the original master transactions in a controlled and configurable manner. The new Random Trade Entry Delay, Random Trade Close Delay, and Random Stop Loss/Take Profit features may create variations in trade execution between accounts.
As a result, copied trades may have different entry times, entry prices, Stop Loss levels, Take Profit levels, exit times and exit prices compared to the original trade. Although the overall trading strategy remains the same, these variations help reduce identical execution patterns between master and client accounts.
When combined with the new manual-style execution mode, copied trades can also appear as manually placed trades in MetaTrader rather than “expert placed”. Together, these enhancements provide traders with greater flexibility in how copied trades are executed while maintaining synchronization with the original trading strategy.
