This new feature will allow users to participate in markets that track global trends, ranging from elections to economic data. This directly from their MetaMask wallet, without giving up custody of their assets.

The announcement comes shortly after MetaMask confirmed plans to launch its long-awaited native token, a move that sparked excitement from the Web3 community. Together, these updates mark a strategic shift for MetaMask from a gateway to decentralized finance to a broader on-chain personal finance platform.

According to Gal Eldar, Global Product Manager of MetaMask, this integration reflects the wallet’s mission to increase user empowerment. “MetaMask was designed to give people true ownership of their assets,” Eldar said. “We are now extending this same principle to the world’s most important markets, giving people access without ever giving up custody.”
