  • More than 1,000,000 bitcoin People currently inactive in detention can now access protocol results without mixing.
  • Bullish deployed 250 BTC as its first client, signaling a change in institutional cash management.

Bridging the gap for corporate treasuries

BitcoinNative financial platform Mezo has launched a product aimed at giving institutional holders and corporate treasuries access to yield and lending opportunities. The platform is built with Anchorage Digital Bank, the first federally chartered digital asset bank in the United States, and debuts with Bullish as his initial client.

Known as Mezo Prime, the product introduces separate vaults, qualified custody and protocol-based yield, filling a gap for businesses that have struggled to implement bitcoin holding companies to work in accordance with institutional standards.

“More than a million Bitcoin is on company balance sheets today, and almost nothing works,” said Matt Luongo, co-founder of Mezo and CEO of Thesis. “Mezo Prime changes that. Separate custody through Anchorage Digital Bank, no remortgage, real return on protocol activity. We built this solution for CFOs and treasury teams who already own the asset and are ready to use it however they want.

At the heart of the product are the Enclaves, separated bitcoin safes isolated by depositor, with custody provided by Anchorage Digital Bank. Assets can be locked as veBTC to earn protocol fees or used as collateral to borrow MUSD, that of Mezo. Bitcoin-supported stable coin.

“Establishments want to do more with their Bitcoinbut not at the expense of security and control,” said Nathan McCauley, co-founder and CEO of Anchorage Digital. “Mezo Prime offers both secure, segregated custody and direct access to on-chain yield on a single platform.”

Bullisha publicly traded institutional digital asset platform, is the first to participate. The company has deployed 250 BTC of its corporate treasury to Mezo Prime while maintaining custody and compliance through Anchorage Digital.

“Bullish was born from the belief that institutional norms and participation in digital assets are not in conflict, and we are excited to work with Mezo as a launch client,” said Tarun Kapoor, Vice President of Bullish. “Their veBTC design is a great example of this philosophy in practice: mitigating smart contract risks and ensuring the security of the underlying BTC. »
