Coinbase reduced the number of unnecessary accounts by 82%, the CEO of exchange announced last week. It was a problem which, according to many users, lasted for too long. Now the company says it is about to repair the worst, but some customers remain suspicious.

Accounts of the account drops considerably

According to an article of June 6 on X by CEO Brian Armstrong, Coinbase has reduced unwanted gels by 82% so far. He said that change is an absolute priority and that more improvements will be held soon. Short clearings are one thing. The locking of the months is another. Many users have said they had been locked for several months at a time.

Accounts freeze has been a major problem at Coinbase for longer than what is acceptable. I could list a bunch of underlying reasons for which he became so bad in the first place, but what is more important is that we have made the priority to repair, and we have made good progress. Shout…

The new member of the team takes care of

Based on the interior of Coinbase, most progress comes from the work of Dor Levi. He joined the product team nine weeks ago with a clear goal: stop freezing the right accounts. The company has invested massively in its automatic learning models. These upgrades seem to have borne fruit. Coinbase says that its new systems capture more bad behavior while leaving normal transactions.

I joined @coinbase 9 weeks ago with a vital objective: to set unnecessary account restrictions.

If you are on CT, you know how significant this problem has been for users. I myself am a Coinbase user and our restriction experience does not meet my own bar.

Data violation raises concerns

User confidence has also been shaken by a data violation which affected more than 70,000 accounts. At least, some service agents abroad were welded last December to hand over customer identification photos and personal addresses.

The breach was only disclosed in mid-May. This gap has frustrated a lot. A user even shared the story of a family friend losing bitcoin and ether in a scam which, according to her, was linked to piracy.

Current legal restrictions remain

Coinbase will always comply with the orders of the court and the sanctions which require account gels, said Armstrong and Levi. These frosts are not part of the 82%reduction. They are entirely a distinct question. The company must respect the legal rules in the United States and abroad. Users who believe that their frost is linked to these rules should contact the support for more details.

Call for better customer support

Some users say that it is almost impossible to reach a live assistance agent. A commentator X wrote that the follow -up of someone “can take forever”. Another said he had been locked up for two years. Armstrong asked any customer with a frozen account to contact the support. But if users cannot call or start a conversation, even the best model will not help them get heard.

Build lasting confidence

Coinbase is the first goalkeeper of the negotiated funds in Bitcoin exchange. Cuting unnecessary gel is a step forward, but real confidence takes time. Users will want clear updates to the operation of the new system, and they will wish that their data is safe. If Coinbase can hold on, he can finally calm people who felt locked up for too long.
