As the Ethereum ecosystem continues to grow and mature at breakneck speed, we continue to work hard to deliver an incredible Devcon 6. Although the timing is not yet clear as to when we will all be able to gather in Bogota, we want to keep our community involved along the road to Devcon! To this end, we are announcing the Road to Devcon quests!
What are quests?
Quests On the Road to Devcon are periodic commitments for our community to continually collaborate, contribute and learn. For each quest, you will have the opportunity to earn a POAP badge representing your participation — see how many you can collect!
Upcoming quests are listed on Devcon.organd we also welcome community-initiated quests. If you have an idea for a community quest, share it on our RTD Discord server!
Launching quests with EthStaker
To launch the first of these quests, we decided to team up with the EthStaker community for a series of fun online events on the road to Devcon.
The EthStaker community is no stranger to the Ethereum ecosystem. They have become one of the canonical communities for Ethereum staking. The EthStaker team regularly hosts events to help educate the community with the goal of reducing technical barriers to entry in addition to welcoming more people into the world of solo and pool staking.
The excitement over Devcon inspired the EthStaker community to host two online events to compete for bragging rights, POAPs, and Devcon tickets. Each event listed below is open to everyone, and the more you participate, the more likely you are to win a ticket to Devcon.
Painting party: May 29, 2021
POAP.art is POAP’s newest experiment and sits at the intersection of art and technology. POAP.art is an interactive digital canvas that allows artists of all skill levels to collaborate with each other, create original works of pixel art, and mint them as NFTs, effectively cementing your art digitally on the blockchain forever .
The POAP.art canvas will be open to everyone for 1 hour during a live broadcast on YouTube. As you remove pixels, we’ll hear Devcon and EthStaker community members provide light feedback as we watch the canvas fill out.
To participate, all you need to do is be present during the livestream and get your POAP “Paint Party Viewer”which gives you access to the POAP.art Canvas. Everyone who attends the Painting Party Livestream will receive this POAP, and everyone who drops at least one pixel on the POAP.art canvas will receive a POAP “Paint Party Pixel Dropper”.
After the Painting Party, the EthStaker team will organize a double bill POAP.fun Raffle. The first round is eligible for those who hold prior Devcon POAPs or are a Beacon Chain Genesis depositor. Round 2 is eligible for those who hold the Painting Party Viewer or Pixel Dropper POAP. Winners of the drawings will receive participant places in the following Devcon Trivia Game.

Devcon Trivia: July 10, 2021
Trivia games are a staple of the EthStaker community and are an incredibly fun experience. All are invited to participate during the live play-along hosted on the EthStaker website, while those who won quiz seats compete in a live trivia game played using the Kahoot! platform. Participants must answer a series of questions ranging from general knowledge of Ethereum to the history of Devcon and everything in between.
The participant with the highest scores will win tickets to Devcon and bragging rights. There will be four POAPs available for this event; the spectator, the Play-Along participant, the participant and the winner.
