Ripple Drives Blockchain Ecosystem Growth With Institutional-Grade Security Measures

Blockchain technology and digital assets, including cryptocurrencies, are already surpassing their initial limitations as niche technologies to shape a more accessible, secure and impactful ecosystem. According to a recent survey conducted by Ripple, a digital asset infrastructure company, 90% of financial executives believe these technologies will have a profound impact on the industry within three years.

As compelling use cases emerge – from cross-border payments to the tokenization of real-world assets – the first challenge any business must address is that of safe and secure custody. Institutional adoption of blockchain technology depends on the ability to store, access and protect digital assets with confidence.

“The next wave of digital asset growth will not be driven by retail speculation; it will be driven by institutional utility – and the foundation of that is secure custody,” says Jack Cullinane, Ripple’s senior business director for Asia Pacific. “In hubs like Hong Kong, regulatory clarity is accelerating the entry of institutions into this space. »

Across the world’s financial centers, including Hong Kong, regulators are working to support these new technologies by ensuring that sophisticated institutional-grade infrastructure is balanced with strong regulatory compliance for seamless use around the clock. The city’s Securities and Futures Commission’s rules on custody of digital assets ensure that institutions manage assets in accordance with the standards seen in traditional finance, reflecting the growing market need for secure and compliant infrastructure to support funds traded in exchange, tokenized funds, stablecoin settlement, and cross-border treasury and liquidity solutions.

The secure custody of cryptocurrencies is essential to the global financial ecosystem. Ripple Custody provides the essential institutional-grade platform to secure, transfer and settle any class of tokenized financial assets. Ripple provides the self-custody technology layer that allows banks and financial institutions to manage digital assets without compromising their existing security.
