The 4 Crypto Motors Market that everyone is watching this week

Key notes

  • The week will start with the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting.
  • FOMC’s minutes and Powell’s speech are key economic events to move the cryptography market.
  • More and more unemployment claims should be declared, which could trigger a short -term sale.

The cryptography market remained strong last week with Bitcoin (BTC) reaching a new top of all time and Ethereum (ETH) approaching its peak of 2021.

Bitcoin reached an ATH $ 124,457 on August 14. Ethereum hit the $ 4,788 area.

However, the financial markets, including cryptographic assets, are likely to enter a very volatile area this week due to four key events that analysts and investors look closely.

Peace talks

President Donald Trump is expected to meet the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday, August 18.

After meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump referred to a potential peace agreement instead of a ceasefire. This will end the war and a half in Ukraine.

The end of the war will probably stimulate the feeling of the market to invest in speculative assets such as altcoins and pieces even.

Fed speaks crypto

On Wednesday August 20, the report of the Federal Open Market Committee – a detailed dossier for the discussions and decisions made at the meeting from July 29 to 30 – will be published to the public.

Two days later, on August 22, the president of the American federal reserve Jerome Powell should make a speech on the economic situation in the country and disclose the plans and the examination of the Fed framework.

Powell should also refer to the next drop in the interest rate.

Usually, the cryptography market enters great volatility before the FOMC minutes and Powell’s speech – two major events for Wall Street and American investors.

Unemployed complaint

Between the two events of the Fed – Minutes of the FOMC and the Speech of Powell – the weekly report for unemployment claims in the United States will be published on August 21.

Unemployment requests decreased by 3,000 – from 227,000 to 224,000 – last week. However, the number should increase again by 3,000 this week, according to Investing.com data.

If unemployed complaints increase, as expected, this will indicate an increase in layoffs due to the macro and micro uncertainty.
