Roman Storm and his legal team will fight to do so “fully justified” after a Manhattan jury found the developer of Tornado Cash guilty of conspiracy in order to operate a business transmission company without license.
The jury deliberated for four days after a trial of three weeks, but could not make a verdict unanimous for the other charges against Storm. These accusations were plot to commit money laundering and a plot to violate international sanctions.
“We are grateful that the jury did not condemn novel for breaking the sanctions or bleached money,” said Storm lawyer Brian Klein.

Storm and lawyers intend to combat an accusation of guilt
Klein continued saying that there were still “serious legal problems” with the accusation of a guilty storm.
According to Alex Urbelis, a lawyer general of the service named by Ethereum, the jury does not seem to fully understand “the crucial fracture between guardian and non -guardians” systems “. This distinction, according to Urbelis, “should make a conviction here possible.”
After the accusation of guilt, Storm’s lawyer said they expected him to be “fully justified” and will not stop fighting until it happens.
Storm himself seems to want to continue to fight against the accusation. According to journalist Eleanor Terret, who spoke with the developer outside the courtroom, Storm considers the result as a “big victory”.
🚨New: I just took @RStormsf Outside the courtroom. I asked how he felt. In a calm voice, but with a notable smile, he said to me:
“It’s a big victory. The charge of “1960” is bullshit and we will fight it all along. You know how President Trump said “fight, fight, …

He added that he is no longer agreeing with the load, adding “we will fight it all along.”
Storm not considered a risk of flight
After the jury’s verdict, the prosecutors tried to ensure that the developer of Tornado Cash, who is currently on bail, is placed in prison while he awaits the conviction.
They argued that he is from Russia, advised people how to deceive the immigration system and has the financial means to flee the United States.
The Storm legal team rejected and told the judge that their client had already returned his passport, adding that he also had deep family ties with the United States.
The judge agreed with the Storm team and let him pass under bail.
