Roman Storm and his legal team will fight to do so “fully justified” after a Manhattan jury found the developer of Tornado Cash guilty of conspiracy in order to operate a business transmission company without license.
The jury deliberated for four days after a trial of three weeks, but could not make a verdict unanimous for the other charges against Storm. These accusations were plot to commit money laundering and a plot to violate international sanctions.

Storm not considered a risk of flight
After the jury’s verdict, the prosecutors tried to ensure that the developer of Tornado Cash, who is currently on bail, is placed in prison while he awaits the conviction.
They argued that he is from Russia, advised people how to deceive the immigration system and has the financial means to flee the United States.
The Storm legal team rejected and told the judge that their client had already returned his passport, adding that he also had deep family ties with the United States.
The judge agreed with the Storm team and let him pass under bail.
