THE Protocol Security Research Team and the Ethereum Foundation’s Ecosystem Funding Initiative are proud to announce the launch of ETH Rangers program to help encourage public asset security work for the Ethereum ecosystem.
Public property security work
ETH Rangers offers stipends to support individuals who dedicate time to work on public asset security efforts within the Ethereum ecosystem. Over six months, participants will be selected to each receive $25,000.
What type of work is considered public property security work?
Work on public asset security includes efforts to improve the security and resilience of the Ethereum ecosystem. This may involve activities such as scanning for vulnerabilities, creating educational materials, volunteering to handle incidents or audits, or developing tools and frameworks that benefit the community. The goal is to support projects and individuals dedicated to securing Ethereum’s infrastructure and fostering a robust, trustless environment for everyone.
Can I apply if I am currently employed in the public property security field?
Yes, current employment in public property security does not prevent you from applying. We are looking for individuals who can dedicate significant time to advancing the security of Ethereum’s public assets, whether employed or independent.
Applications are now open to ETHRangers.comand will remain open until December 20, when the selection process will begin.
Important dates
- November 21, 2024: applications open for the first wave.
- December 31, 2024: Deadline for first wave applications.
- January 20, 2025: Recipients selected.
- July 20, 2025: submission of final work reports, followed by payment of the remaining allowance.
