What type of work is considered public property security work?

Work on public asset security includes efforts to improve the security and resilience of the Ethereum ecosystem. This may involve activities such as scanning for vulnerabilities, creating educational materials, volunteering to handle incidents or audits, or developing tools and frameworks that benefit the community. The goal is to support projects and individuals dedicated to securing Ethereum’s infrastructure and fostering a robust, trustless environment for everyone.

Can I apply if I am currently employed in the public property security field?

Yes, current employment in public property security does not prevent you from applying. We are looking for individuals who can dedicate significant time to advancing the security of Ethereum’s public assets, whether employed or independent.

Applications are now open to ETHRangers.comand will remain open until December 20, when the selection process will begin.

Important dates

  • November 21, 2024: applications open for the first wave.
  • December 31, 2024: Deadline for first wave applications.
  • January 20, 2025: Recipients selected.
  • July 20, 2025: submission of final work reports, followed by payment of the remaining allowance.

Interested in working full-time in the public safety field?

The Ethereum Foundation Protocol Security Research Team is now seeking two security engineers. If you think this might be a better solution and want to get involved, apply today!
