Cornerstone Research organized a virtual presentation of Professor Joseph Grundfest of the Stanford Law School, featuring the Legal Director of Coinbase Paul Grewal.

Few areas of securities law have ever changed as quickly or spectacularly as cryptographic regulations in the first months of 2025.

In a timely presentation, Stanford Law School Professor and former Securities Commissioner and Exchange Commission (SEC), Joe Grundfest, and the Chief Coinbase Legal Director Paul Grewal discussed these recent developments to the rapid rate. Their conversation focused on:

  • The new policy of applying the law of the dry, including an investigation into rejected or suspended affairs, and the prospects for future prosecution
  • The deeper implications of the “memes” of the commission
  • Pending legislation, including the potential of a new Stablecoin market with international implications
  • The prospects for the future regulatory environment

Abe Chernin de Cornerstone Research moderated discussion.
