TBTC from Threshold Network, an ERC-20 token supported 1 to 1 per bitcoin
made its debut on Monday as the threshold seeks to extend BTCFI in the SUC ecosystem.
Collaboration allows users to deposit their BTC SUR A Suis and TBTC Mint, potentially adding more than $ 500 million in Bitcoin liquidity to the SUP network. This means that users can deploy their BTC in the DEFI -based DEFI to generate additional return while using TBTC through the ecosystem.
“The TBTC should bring a massive amount of liquidity from Bitcoin to Su sur, creating a bridge that really counts – not only for institutions but for everyday people who love bitcoin,” said Adeniyi Abiodun, co -founder and product manager at Mysten Labs, original contributors from Suit, in the announcement exclusively with Coindek.
“This new integration opens another door to accessible BTCFI sovereign participation,” added Abiodun.
BTCFI represents a full range of decentralized financial applications designed to operate with Bitcoin, aimed at improving the attraction of cryptocurrency beyond the value of the value.
Nearly 600 BTC, worth more than $ 65 million, have been reduced to the SUA ecosystem since February, and the assets supported by BTC represent more than 10% of the total locked value (TVL) in the SUC ecosystem. At the time of the press, cryptocurrencies worth 1.83 billion dollars were locked in the DEFI based in SUP, according to the source of Defillama data.
“Bitcoin was designed to be used, not locked up,” said Callan Sarre, co-founder of Threshold Labs. “With the TBTC which arrives on Su follow, we combine the security of threshold cryptography with a high speed network to create a new standard for Bitcoin Utility.”
Housing TBTC, the Threshold network is a decentralized protocol that combines the cryptography and blockchain infrastructure to provide secure and minimized access to Bitcoin Defi. During the editorial staff, TBTC had a market capitalization of more than $ 570 million, with a circulating offer of 5,265 rooms, according to Data Source Coingecko.
