This key metric suggests a renewed interest in the Alts-season

Key notes

  • Market volatility alludes to a stronger alt-season season.
  • Ethereum’s monthly volume has crossed the $ 140 billion mark.
  • The reinforced activity on the chain means more users and increased utility through DEFI.

The cryptocurrency market, including large value parts such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), recorded unexpected and very volatile movements during the last month.

Overall, the BTC is down 6% in the last 30 days, while ETH has gained 22% in the same time.

Although these movements cost the market for billions of markets, Defilma’s data show that the monthly Ethereum monthly exchange volume broke a new record, exceeding $ 140 billion in August.

The volume exceeded the highest in May 2021 of $ 117.6 billion by a significant margin.

In addition, the increase in the volume DEX shows a robust liquidity and a confidence of traders despite the volatility of the market, which triggered massive liquidations.

Strong commitment

Strong chain engagement shows not only more utility through decentralized funding protocols, but also the potential flow of capital of centralized cryptography exchanges in Dex. This would also indicate the interest in altcoins, because many small capitalization tokens are generally not listed on CEX.

To support this, the highest volume through DEFI has come from the UNISWAP DEX, based in Ethereum, reaching $ 76.5 billion in the past 30 days, according to Defillama.

Coinmarketcap data show that the Alts-season index has gone from 24 to 58 in the past two months. The indicator suggests that investors and traders have focused heavily on altcoins rather than bitcoin.

Suppose that the market does not encounter any unexpected macroeconomic tension. In this case, Ethereum and its Altcoin colleagues are likely to arouse a strong interest from confident investors in the coming months, similar to the Alts-season 2021.

Each Alts-Season in history started in September 🔥

The same configuration is repeated every 4 years, and in a few days, the low terminals will pump 150-200x.

In 2021, I watched this unfolding and transformed $ 300 into $ 200,000.
