The company of Brian Armstrong, Coinbase, continues to defend the policy of British cryptography, as a petition to shake up British blockchain executives and cryptographic regulations earn thousands of signatures.
Until now, the petition calling on the United Kingdom to adopt a pro-innovation blockchain and a Stablecoin frame has increased by 5,000 signatures, after Coinbase triggered a wave of attention by sending notifications integrated into its user base in the United Kingdom this week.

A breeder for British crypto policy: all that is about the Coinbase Coinbase petition
Launched in July, the petition, hosted on the official website of the British Parliament, requires three basic actions: a regulatory framework for stablescoins and tokenization, the adoption of the government led by the government and the appointment of a lead dedicated to national blockchain or “TSAR”.
Although the absorption was modest in the weeks following the launch, the intervention of Coinbase has considerably accelerated the momentum. At 10,000 signatures, the government must officially respond, while 100,000 signatures will oblige consideration for a parliamentary debate. The petition ends on March 3, 2026.

The British government has fought with its position on digital assets for years, oscillating between rhetoric around innovation and a serious regulatory prudence, fueled by post-FTX narratives surrounding the cryptocurrency markets.
For donors, the issue is now a global competitiveness. “This is a question of national interest in preserving the competitiveness of the city of the city and sterling,” said the petition text, stressing the American decision to exclude a digital currency from the central bank while going forward with supported stablecoins of a dollar.
The defenders argue that without rapid action, the United Kingdom risks giving land in Singapore, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi, where clear regulatory executives have already been deployed, positioning themselves to capture the future of financial growth.

Does Coinbase trigger a cryptographic revolution in the United Kingdom?
Coinbase was expressed by criticizing the hesitant position of Great Britain. In July, the exchange published a satirical video entitled everything is good, making fun of the tense financial system of the United Kingdom.

A few days later, George Osborne, the former chancellor of the chessboard and now Coinbase advisor, warned in the Financial Times that the United Kingdom was “authorized to be left behind” on the adoption of the crypto.
Osborne highlighted the stablecoins as the next decisive wave, noting that the American engineering law had already created a regulated path for the dollar -supported transmitters. At the same time, Great Britain had not given clarity similar to Sterling.
The Bank of England has so far had a skeptical line. Governor Andrew Bailey recently declared that the stablecoins had to prove that they respond to the “celibacy of money” test, demonstrating individual exchange with existing money, before being widely accepted.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves promised to “move forward” the regulation of stablescoin, but provided little details, which led the initiates of the industry to accuse the prevariation treasure.
The mobilization coinbase strategy of its retail user base could intensify political pressure. While the exchange has already campaigned through political documents and lobbying, the direct call for the action of its application marks a new step in public advocacy – catalyzing its user base for democratic ignition.
If Momentum continues, the petition could crystallize in one of the most visible signals to date that crypto users in Britain are ready to put pressure for regulatory clarity and to form a political faction. Important, especially after the success of the Trump campaign in the creation of a cryptographic voting block last year.
For a government juggling post-Brexit competitiveness and distrusting financial instability, the question is whether it can afford to ignore calls to a coherent digital active strategy longer.
The petition is only halfway through its first milestone, but the intervention of Coinbase has allowed it to be closely monitored by industry and decision-makers.
