The connection with Trump crypto The company announced that it will serve as the presenting partner of a new Performance of the Night bonus pool for UFC Freedom 250, the mixed martial arts event taking place June 14, 2026 on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, DC. UFC CEO Dana White confirmed the details during a press conference Friday at the Lincoln Memorial.

“World Liberty Financial will serve as the presenting partner and add an additional $250,000 to the fighters’ bonuses that night,” White said. “Two fighters who win Fight of the Night will earn $400,000 each. Then the two performance bonuses (of the night) will receive $425,000 each.”

Combined with a separate $1 million CRO bonus of Cryptocurrency.com for Fight of the Night winners, the total prize money reached approximately $1.65 million, a record for UFC post-fight bonuses.

Who is WLFI

World Liberty Financial is a Delaware-based company crypto company co-founded in 2024 by Donald Trump and his sons, with Trump publicly listed as “chief Cryptocurrency Attorney.” Trump’s financial disclosures list WLFI’s holdings valued at more than $50 million.

CEO Zach Witkoff presented the UFC partnership as a demonstration of what USD1 can do outside of traditional banking channels.

“A victory in Washington should mean money in your pocket immediately, not when the bank opens,” the WLFI official said.

Witkoff added:

“USD1 makes the US dollar more accessible and faster than ever. We believe it’s the future of finance and we’re excited to partner with the UFC.”

WLFI branding will appear inside the octagon and throughout the broadcast. The company first announced the partnership around June 10, with the UFC confirming full details of the bonus the following Friday.

Largest market by volume is the headliner of Gaethje vs. Topuria at $2 million, with Ilia Topuria considered an 80% favorite. The co-main event between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title attracted $1 million in betting, with Pereira holding a 51% advantage.

Other combat markets show a clearer separation. Sean O’Malley is at 79% over Aiemann Zahabi, Mauricio Ruffy is favored at 81% over Michael Chandler, Josh Hokit is at 78% over Derrick Lewis and Bo Nickal leads Kyle Daukaus at 73%.

Secondary markets

Political prop betting also saw notable action. Polymarket estimates a 94% chance that Elon Musk will attend the event and an 86% chance that Donald Trump will mention the “White House” in his remarks. There’s a 70% chance Trump will dance, a 58% chance he’ll wear a red tie, and a 52% chance he’ll kiss someone. Advertisers saying “White House” have a 99% probability.

The event drew sharp criticism from political opponents and academics. Cornell classics professor Mike Fontaine made a direct comparison to Roman leaders using spectacle to manage public attention, citing Juvenal’s “panem et circenses” as the framework for what UFC Freedom 250 represents to its detractors.

Supporters see it differently: a historic and patriotic celebration of American sports culture tied to Flag Day, President Trump’s 80th birthday and preparations for the country’s 250th birthday. A federal judge allowed the event to go ahead after an attempted blockade was denied.

Fights begin at 8:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+ with the main card featuring Topuria vs. Gaethje up top.
