New York, New York, March 13, 2025, Chainwire

Xion, a blockchain without Blockchain Web2 and Web3 portfolio, announced its compliance with EU regulations, becoming the first L1 on Mainnet to publish a white paper on the Crypto-Astets markets (Mica). Xion has now been aligned with the regulatory framework governing the cryptocurrency of the European Union, demonstrating its commitment to expand the ease of access to institutions and individuals, who use and adopt digital assets.

Title II of Mica, which entered into force in December 2024, established solid directives for issuers, offerings and those who seek to be admitted to the trading of crypto-active within the EU. Xion is entering this last category, guaranteeing compliance to facilitate access to its ecosystem in a regulated and transparent manner, giving the EU institutions and individuals.

“The publication of a White Mica Paper is a key step in a wider institutional strategy,” said Burnt Banksy, founder of Xion. “Respect for the EU progressive regulatory landscape ensures that institutions and users can both access Xion in accordance, strengthening the basics of a wider adoption of web3.”

This regulatory step is part of Xion’s mission to make the web3 accessible to everyone, everywhere. By removing the complexities of blockchain thanks to innovations in the protocol such as widespread abstraction, meta-accounts, signing abstraction and its layer of configured fees, Xion builds a layer of infrastructure designed for traditional adoption without seam of web3 applications.

With this compliance, EU institutions will now have frantic access to a blockchain that fills the gap between web2 and web3, offering regulatory clarity alongside a friendly environment. The Xion ecosystem has already attracted leading brands taking advantage of its technology to allow Web3 interactions without friction, further strengthening its pioneer position in widening access to all Internet users.

While Xion continues to advance its institutional and regulatory initiatives, this step to guarantee compliance with Mica sets the foundations for future expansion and wider access to its ecosystem. For more information, the White Xion Crypto-Set Paper is available here.
