Astar, a collective adoption of web driving3 from Japan, relaunches its Yoki origins as Yoki Legacy on the Sony SONEIUM Blockchain.

Yoki Origins was a digital collector adventure that was launched last year with partners like Casio, Japan Airlines, JR Kyushu Railway Company, Quickswap, Raretible and others. Now his name is Yoki Legacy. SONEIUM is the Blockchain of Sony Block Labs Sony Block.

“As a ecosystem that puts creativity and accessibility to its heart, Soneium is the ideal house for Yoki Legacy. We are delighted to see the project relaunch on a platform designed to support creators and innovation focused on IP, “said Maarten Henskens, head of the Astar Foundation, in a press release. “This decision reflects our commitment to preserve and cultivate the Yoki IP, which was created and originally launched by Astar Foundation on Astar Zkevm.

Initially deployed on the first ecosystem of the Astar Network blockchain, Yoki Origins succeeded, which led a strong commitment and high volumes of chain transactions, said Astar. Now the IP has been relaunched on Soneium. Since then, the game has seen 59,000 unique addresses created by players, with 2.5 million non -cornities (NFT) tokens linked to Yoki struck in total and 40 different projects getting involved.

Built on the principle that blockchain should be accessible, evolving, efficient and solving real problems for everyone, Soneium aims to provide innovative decentralized applications – such as Yoki Origins – covering entertainment, game, finance and many other possibilities, said Sony.

During the launch, Soneium was supported by some of the most prominent and most well established web3 technological partners in the world, including Astar Network, Circle, Optimism, Alchemy, The Graph and Chainlink.

With its revival on Soneium, Yoki Origins will still broaden the blockchain ecosystem, offering new experiences by drawing inspiration from Pokémon and traditional Japanese culture where people can collect “yokis” to complete a special notebook.

As part of the new season, the revival introduces a more rationalized version of the original Yoki and its basic game mechanisms, which even easily facilitates its ecosystem. For example, instead of 48 yokis (12 basic and 36 advanced), the game now includes 24 – 12 basic and 12 advanced. By collecting three identical basic yokis, users can “merge” them into an evolved evolved.

The native token of Yoki Origins, previously known as Omamori (OMA), is now renamed Omastr, reflecting its deeper integration with Astar. This change improves the token utility by allowing users to hit Omastr on Soneium using the native token of Astar Network, AST, without any daily typing limit. This aims to open greater flexibility and access to users who seek to engage more actively in the ecosystem.

The newly updated Omastr token is mainly used to acquire capsules from capsule machines, popular functionality in Yoki Origins. They allow users to get various yokis by spending the Omastr tokens to “turn” or “pull” capsules. In total, there are now three distinct capsule machines, each offering a unique set of Yokis and with four different types of capsule, which create a layer of variety and anticipation for users when they collect their precious creatures.

To make the experience even more enriching, users will win special acs points by hitting, fusion and ending their notebooks. The Astar Contribution Score initiative, launched by the ASTAR Foundation with a 100 million Asth award pool, is designed to stimulate user adoption and encourage activity on the chain, while expanding the usefulness of AST tokens and stimulating the growth of Soneium.

At the launch, a pool of two million ACs will be available, with the possibility of adding additional points in the future. As a special encouragement, players who complete their Yoki notebook by June 1 will receive an exclusive Yoki OG badge, a unique reward for collaboration between Astar and Soneium.

Sony said that the SONEIUM OG badge is more than a simple digital token – it is a badge of honor, symbolizing the commitment and belief of a user in the vision of Soneium. The holders of this badge will be recognized as pioneers who have played a key role in the formation of development and growth of the Soneium ecosystem.
