BitMart Launches Prepaid Wallet Card to Integrate Crypto Assets into Everyday Spending

BitMart, a leading global cryptocurrency exchange, has officially launched its Wallet prepaid card feature, providing users with a more direct way to spend digital assets in everyday scenarios. By allowing stablecoins to be topped up directly from wallets, the feature shortens the path between on-chain assets and real-world payments, allowing users to move from holding crypto to spending it more seamlessly.

As the adoption of cryptocurrencies expands beyond commerce and transfers, stablecoins are increasingly used for cross-border settlement and payments. However, everyday spending often requires multiple steps, including transferring assets between wallets, exchanges and bank accounts. With the increasing integration of crypto infrastructure into global payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard, BitMart’s Wallet prepaid card is designed to reduce these points of friction, creating a more streamlined payment experience within the crypto ecosystem.

Online, offline and AI subscription payments

After verifying their identity, users can top up their prepaid cards with stablecoins from their wallet and immediately access available balances. Payments are settled in fiat currency through traditional payment networks, creating a user experience similar to traditional bank cards.

The prepaid card works through the Visa and Mastercard payment networks and can be used by more than 2 million merchants worldwide, covering both online and offline payment environments.

Users can connect the prepaid card to traditional payment platforms including Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Alipay, allowing them to continue using their familiar payment habits while directly spending digital assets.

Supported spending scenarios include major e-commerce and lifestyle platforms such as Amazon, Walmart and Taobao, as well as social and digital platforms such as TikTok, X, Facebook and Telegram.

Integrate payment capability directly into the wallet experience

Traditionally, wallets focused on asset storage and management, while payment functionality existed separately through banks or third-party services. BitMart’s Wallet prepaid card integrates spending capability directly into the wallet environment, reducing the need for users to move their assets between multiple systems.

Users can complete card applications and top-up directly within the wallet interface, without opening separate financial accounts or transferring assets externally. The feature supports multiple wallet structures, including mnemonic wallets and smart contract wallets, with cards tied directly to wallet addresses for a more unified experience.

Virtual and physical cards designed for different spending scenarios

Prepaid card functionality includes virtual and physical card options to support a wider range of payment needs.

The virtual card is optimized for online spending and becomes available immediately after activation. It can be used for online purchases, subscription services and digital payments, providing a lightweight and flexible option for users who frequently combine payment methods across multiple platforms.

The physical card extends its use to offline scenarios, allowing users to pay at supported merchants and withdraw money via compatible devices. Compared to virtual cards, physical cards offer broader real-world payment coverage and are designed for users who need in-person spending features.

As the use of on-chain assets continues to expand, products that enable direct daily spending become an increasingly important bridge between crypto infrastructure and real-world consumption. BitMart’s Wallet prepaid card represents another step toward reducing friction between digital assets and everyday life.
